Great review! A friend gave me this game for my 11th birthday in 1990. My other friends were in awe that I got a Nintendo game for my birthday. I enjoyed it back then and still do now (although I had to buy it back several years ago because of my unfortunate decision to trade in or sell my games). Thanks for the throwback!
@@RonManGaming controls can be a big factor in determining whether or not i want to play a game. a game can be good but if the controls frustrate me then i don't want to play because i'm too annoyed with the controls. i played red steel once for about 15 minutes and the controls did nothing but piss me off.
You should try the japnese version, totaly different game experience. this version really suck. Try to search ' Fudou Myouou Den ' Or ' The Legend of Acala '

I got this for Christmas one year and absolutely loved it.
Man, I'm really late responding to this - sorry about that. Thanks for watching. Yeah I love this game too!
Used to have this game when I was a kid.
They should've made this game into an animated series back in the days.
The password system in this game, wow.
Super informative review though, keep 'em coming!
Very cool! I saw this at my game store yesterday for cheap and remembered you reviewed it. Thanks, Ronman!
No - thank you! Let me know how you like the game!
@@RonManGaming most definitely!
I have this game but never put much time into it. Trying to decide if I want to. Working on little Nemo now.
Not sure I understand their mentality behind hiding the password system but at least there is one
Haha same here. Why hide the password? I played this game for years before discovering the password system.
Seen you tair through this game pretty quickly. Good review keep em comming my boy
Gonna play this now
Good man!
holy crap bro amazing vid!
I love this lost Nes jewel, the music it’s amazing
Great review man!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Thanks for the vid. Answered all my questions!
Awesome review. Please do one of Legacy of Kain.
ive always thought this was related to KAGE. like part 2 since they have similar moves and character even controls
The Japanese version has more levels, and more of them with bottomless pits, so the Phoenix powerups come in far more handier in that version.
One of the games I played the hell out of.
Yeah it's a great game that not many people seem to have played. Thanks for watching!
seems like a decent game but i dunno about pressing up to jump. that just feels kinda iffy.

@@RonManGaming not knocking the game but the controls frustrated me
Very similar to the legend of kage but more interesting
Yeah that's exactly right! thanks for watching!
@@RonManGaming you are welcome! Keep the good work reviewing NES games for the nostalgic people like us .
I thought it was alright I didn't like the girl's voice
I swear I remember a kkk guy you fight
There's a mini-boss who may be who you're thinking of. He appears in the mystic gates in stages 3/4? He's optional.

Man, the box art does not reflect the game at all.
Haha no not at all. My guess is that they thought this art would appeal more to North American gamers.
i didnt like the game
