Excellent note,I love it.The USS New York was built in Brooklyn Navy Yard,and was initially built, oddly enough on Sept 11,1911.It saw action in WW1 and WW2, most notably,Iwo Jima and Okinawa.Too bad they used it for target practice and sank it in 1948
Another fantastic pick up! Just Wow! A star note battleship. Really a great looking note even for the grade - which doesn't matter for the star!. The estimated population really does make you think. As we have talked before regarding rarity v. popularity v. scarcity combined with how many collectors. Thanks for sharing.

I think this kind of paper money will go up in value a lot. Especially if people began to collect in large numbers compared to what it is now.
