Canberra is more than just brilliant architecture and great infastructure. It is home to many lovely and interesting people, enlightened with a high level of civility and decency. I love the place. 🙌🙂
One thing you missed was give yourself time while at the War Memorial to walk up and down ANZAC parade (the boulevard leading down towards the lake) there are memorials along both sides and it is well worth the time. I'm not sure what a corilan is but a Carillon (Cor-ill-ee-an) is a bell tower containing at least 42 bells ours has 56. Can I also suggest Gold Creek Village which has everything from the National Dinosaur Museum to Cockington Green miniature village my favourite though is the Lolly shop where you can buy lots of sweet treats :)
I love Canberra too. Such a beautiful place to live. So much to see and do. Old Parliament House, Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve and the NASA Space Station are our family favourites.
As someone living in Istanbul, Canberra looks so "orderly" and "proper" to me that it almost looks like a place designed by the Matrix architect :D This level of "perfection" gives an eerie feeling. Maybe I am too used to the chaos haha.
Thanks for the feedback. I have been to Istanbul and loved it! Canberra is quite orderly. It was purpose built, so it's very structured in the way its laid out. It's actually changed a lot over the decades and is getting much more of a personality. There's a great food, wine and distilling scene, and amazing cultural institutions. Adam @ TOT
The air is so clean and bike paths r the best U can even put bikes on trams and buses and 90% say thank U to bus drivers when reaching destination- and the Aboriginal Embassy although quiet most of the time on the 26th January it's amazing with locals and interstate as well as international people walking together in respect to Aboriginal people and there land- Canberra the best has so much to offer
Husband, children and I are on a visit to NSW. We are staying in Yass with my sister-in-law. We visited mount Ainslie, Questacon. Tmrw we'll see the parliament house and wat memorial
Hi there. I'm not sure to be honest. We drove up there. You might be able to get a bus from the CBD to near one of the walking tracks at the bottom and hike up. You could also Uber it. It's not that far from the city. Adam

Adelaide & Canberra beautiful cities
Beautiful architecture?? 😂😂 Having a laugh
A "high level of civility & decency," is sorely needed in the U.S.A.

Us Americans really should’ve thought about moving our capital to like.. Colorado Springs or something. Somewhere, anywhere, that’s actually nice lol

Canberra has the best museums in Australia and they cost nothing
It does. It's one of the best reasons to visit Canberra. The National Portrait Gallery is probably my fav. We weren't able to film there sadly. Adam

I don’t want to be that guy but a lot of the things on this list are free like Black Mountain War Memorial and a few others

Don't be a downer JW.
Come here and be welcome, from another Canberran,
@@AdroyoIt looks like a cool laidback city. Ideal for a relaxing holiday.
