So glad i met you Dr John. I watched your show and waited nearly 2 hours to say hello. You were so kind to me and you asked me to hold your famous walking stick . It was a lifes dream to meet the man and the legend . Ive always wanted to meet. One of the saddest days of my life was when i heard you had passed. God bless your soul my friend . I will be forever grateful for your kindness and music that changed the world . Keep on !!!
Я так его обожаю и завидую вам! Я видела его только по тв и е-нет. Мегаталант! Он и сам произведение искуссства - от внешности до каждой нотки! Инопланетянин с длинными белыми волосами. Даже фамилия в полном соответствии!😊

I met Johnny and Edgar when I was 7 or so. My uncle went to highscool with them in Beaumont Tx. My brother and I were spending the weekend with my grandmother and uncle. About 9p Saturday evening he comes home, through thekitchen door and entering the living room behind hin were these 2 guys in solid white, white levis an white t-shirts. My brother and I dove behind the sofa, they scared the bajeebus out of us. When the 3 of them stopped laughing at us, we came out and were introduced to them both. They weren't there long, just came to get my uncles bass and guitar to go jam somewhere. When they left our grandmother explained what albino meant, a 7 and 5 year old, we didn't understand. But, never forgot them, and we're both big fans of them both, and have been since the beginning. Our uncle went on to Texas A&M and became an Architect. Even though he was asked to go to Austin with Johnny. Claimed he never regretted it, to his death bed.

When two legends do their thing magic happens.
I saw Johnny in Buffalo in the 1970’s. It was fun. The whole crowd would howl using his growl.
Dr John and Johnny Winter explained what is wrong with today 's music!!!!❤
Some people are born with it. These guys were born with it and rode that wave all the way in. Thank you Dr. John and Johnny Winter for all your gifts you all gave the world.

Cool dudes. I love the interaction; all these musicians are amazing.
Wow. What a great way to spend a Sunday in south Mississipi. Seen them both a few times in NOLA in the early 70's. But never together.
Thank very very much...👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
What a set. I use to see Dr. John in the F. Quarter when I lived there. He had a g.friend named Rosemary who was all ways with him. Beautiful girl.
Now this is a real blues comment!
@@arlenesheffield1136 I think you misunderstood me. I really appreciated your comment as a special one. You said something nice of Dr. John and his girlfriend and it was great while listening the set.
@@RubenSampieriCabal Sorry Ruben your right I did.
Johnny is still killing it here. Dr. John too of course.
Talk To Your Daughter. #classic. thank you kindly. #Calson. 🐬
🎶💞🎶 NZ and Love them Still in 2023
Magical
Johnny’s speed & clarity puts him in a class all by himself. Others played behind their backs, over their heads, whatever. He was just the best fir shear talent. Underrated is an understatement..
I saw a lot of guitarists in my day, but when I saw Johnny, I was never more impressed! He was the greatest guitarist I ever saw!👍😎🎸🎶
Under rated by who? The plebs who got their heads up Clapton & Van Halens butts?
@@1madmaxx80 Yes. And the ludicrous editors of Rolling Stone Magazine, which once upon a time, was actually a worthwhile periodical. Now it’s run by hacks.
@@74dartman13 as a player Johnny Winter had almost no peers, his only problem was he wasn't ever a good song writer like his brother Edgar was.
2023 and it feels tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight
This is a killer show! Thanks for posting.
de France un grand merci pour cette video avec un sous titré en français !!!
Oooh yeah it takes me home.
What an absolute f****** gem
I haven't seen or heard from Dr. John & Johnny Winters in ages. They are both great and still have their beautiful voices. It shows how old I've gotten.😎
Johnny left us in 2014 and Malcolm John Rebennack Jr left us in 2019 unfortunately. RIP Johnny Winter and Dr John.
Of course they still had their voices in1983😁
Che duetto fantasticoooooo❤❤🎉🎉💯💯💯
RIP Mac

I can't believe I've lived in Louisiana my whole life (25 now) and I never got to see Dr. John. I play piano too.
I have heard Dr John before but listening to Dr John and Leon Redbone rendition of Frosty the Snowman is out of this world with their 2 distinctive voices
¡Muchas gracias! Saludos desde Argentina.

Mille mercis pour ces deux artistes merveilleux que je vénère et aussi pour la traduction de leur parlote. Une pépite.
Johnny Winter o melhor dos melhores bluesman do Blues rock. Obrigado
Tears too my eyes
Beautiful.
Nothing against the SRV/Albert King episode but I like this episode much better
I played on that stage, but it was on Tiny Talent Time because that's what I had, "A Tiny Talent". CHCH TV in Hamilton Ontario.
What was your "tiny talent"?
I played on that stage too! It was a wedding reception, with my band Straight Cut (video available upon request). A great honour to play there...
I'll bet you knocked it out of the park, brother
So. Excellent. !!! So Righteous .!!!!!!
Great!!!
Love It and most likely I am related to Johnny being a Winter and loving rock'n'roll and guitar forever
Ken- all of the season's thus all of us are related...ain't no winter without a summer🌅
wow...just wow...loved it!
Great players and down hearted rockers
You lie too much is a national treasure
Very good, wish there'd been more.
From Cannal Jimmy... still have the tape. Totally insane to think this session ( and all others...this show was legendary ) never got played more than a couple of time.
"...lull 'em into oblivion...", lol!
Best twins 👏🏻
Saw them both at spectrum in southphilly in the 70s
in montreal canada?
@The Blob Bkth the Spectrum and South Philly are in Philadelphia.
There was a jazz pianist, Marilyn Mcpartlin, who had a weekly radio program called Piano Jazz. She & a guest would chat and play together for a hour. A mix of duet & solo. Her technique was the same stride style as Dr J. So when he joined her of the show they melded instantly. It was a lot like this session, it flowed so smooth. I think NPR has those 1980s sessions archived & possibly accessible
The fin greatest ever!
¡¡ ah que par !!!
Put me in that room for that session, I would gladly have made it my last. Love ya dogs
Jw ❤️
i miss ya johnny n dr. john 4 sure!!!
Why wouldn't Dr John perform with him? He obviously knows natural talent.
Can anyone sharpen this up for 2022? The sound is AOK! :D
Sickness
great Men both , if they are the best maybe , it is not too much said
They had a real connection thru music unspoken same person same time god stop
😅❤❤❤
Can you believe it ... a calm white skeleton working that longhaul ship plank fretboard if it was a paper plane .. the music pipeclay under his hands . what a master 😵
Beautiful music man
JUST ALSOME HE
RTA LYNYRD SKYNYRD CAPTAIN BILL BAND LIVE USA
So authentic not like the slick commercial crap churned out today.
What is Edgar Winter doing these days?
A Johnny Winter tribute album
What's Johnny Winter been doing these days? May he rest in the bosom of Abraham until the trumpet blows on the Last Day.
What do you think he's done living off Johnny's money
He just put an album out last year
дааа не он на гитаре а гитара на нем...
Not sure why a legend like Dr. John chose to play with Johnny Winter.
Then you don't know greatness when u hear it.
Então desconhece a grandeza deste grande Senhor Johnny Winter o grande mestre na guitarra e no Blues .Obrigado
As great as Clapton is, as "popularized" as SRV was, there just ain't no replacin' the poor boy albino from Beaumont; Johnny Winter IS the white boys Blues. End of story!
Johnny said it sounded Good, I AGREE!!!
Tank you
