@JeffKendallWeed would you comment on size 5 reach vs. chainstay? I'm 198cm with very long arms (210cm wingspan :D ) and this reach seems great, but will this bike climb and turn with 540mm reach vs. 435 CS???
I was on an HD6 last weekend at outerbike and I was really impressed. It was way more manageable than I expected for a big burley bike. I was impressed that is was pretty lively too. The best part was the way it cornered. It felt like a rocket ducking into berms. Really fun!
Jeff has the Perfect personality for making videos, I know I couldn’t do it! …I’m there for the adventure part & can make an adventure out of most situations, but going back to narrate seems to be the hard part!
Love to see another one of those back to back comparison videos like the one you did at whistler, but with this bike and the other 170/170 or 170/160 bikes you've got!
Super smooth Jeff! This looks like a dream. I just got a HD6 and are kind of trying to figure how to set it up (suspension 38 180 or 180, and volume spacers, and so) Could you share your settings on your bike? Im 83-85 kilos and Im riding, like to jump and play with the bike and Im riding the M size. I really would appreciate it. Greetings from Norway! 🚀🤙🏼
Great vid Jeff. Thanks for sharing with us. I have the HD5 and put a Fox38 on. Really smoothed out my rooty trails in upstate NY. Don't understand the need for a Mullet bike.
Views are good but sharing adventures with others is awesome, plus giving some inspiration for the average mountian biker to try new places and to go find other cool trails. Im in New Zealand right now for a while and have ridden many beautiful trails and met awesome people. God bless@@JeffKendallWeed
Jeff, I met an older dude at my local bike park on the east coast and rode the chairlift with him for a few runs. He said he was from 'Bellingham as well and I mentioned that a youtuber I really like is from there. I think he said he worked for Spank and IXS. I forget his name but he was a rad dude! I think he was on an Evil. Anyways, he said he knew you and I explained that I really enjoyed your content. Keep up the great videos.
Such an amazing setup with the bike on the bike, camping gear and all. What a dream! Doing about the same with the car but man i'd love to do this on a moto
I was surprised to see you running clipless halfway through the video. After seeing the vid about sticking the clipless in the closet, I thought you were strictly flats for safety. Sick riding as always, and love how these videos are more of an adventure!
You even got the green.....that's the one I want so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!💚I did spot the 🐻 I also spotted the 🐻 eating berries on Tuff Love this past Saturday. Also, BC = Bring Cash......but it also means Be C(k)ind. I have Soooooooooooo many friends in BC who I've met 15, 10, 6, 1.5 years ago but they treat me like I've known them my entire life, as I typically treat people . Great video Jeff!
Thanks for the tag along. I’m a big fan of your adventure trips. I don’t trust myself on a loaded up moto but I certainly can appreciate their utility. Stay safe
Thanks for watching! I get pretty sketched out by the safety factor of riding on public roads, but otherwise I’m generally pretty comfortable with this set up!
I cannot decide between 2x2 cycles horizontal vs vertical rack, vertical seemed better, but when you have horizontal like Jeff over backseat it seems equally good, I dont want stick out too much at the back, I want it for longer trail bike (mondraker foxy 29 - 1236mm wheelbase), this HD6 should have even longer wheelbase and looks pretty good on the bike.
Hanging a bag over a tree branch and stashing your food in it is a good way (depending on how far away from the branch, trunk, and ground the bag is. Also depends on the type of bears and the personality of the bears). It’s not perfect or great or even the best way. The best way that I know of is a bear box (or tub).
Thanks for continuing to put this level of content out Jeff! Love love love it! Still loving my Pivot firebird mostly based on your content as I wasn't able to demo anything in the midwest prior to wanting a bike to prep for race seaspn🤙🍻
Thank you, Travis I appreciate your many comments! I do wish these videos got more clicks and views, but they are so fun to do. I seem to fit them in regardless L O L.
Beautiful part of the country. Great riding video. Keep up the great work. I'm not going to lie...you rode the HD5 way better on single track. Seemed like a more versatile bike vs. the HD6.
Great video Jeff! Always really enjoy the adventure Moto trip videos personally, keep up the good work. BTW what's the song playing at the ~15 min mark?
Bike on bike is a craft in and of its self. I appreciate the heck outta you man! Any thoughts on rear facing lighting for night riding? I rode clear through the night once from Utah to MN only to realize I was in ninja mode the entire time😂. I’ve tied some commuter bike lights to mtb back tire and that seems to work out ok. ☮️
Thank you! I think reflective stuff helps a lot, I run two velcro'd reflectors to my rear wheel on the bicycle at nighttime. I should make an extra tail light, but you know, time and all!
Hey Jeff you should try a downhill bike and put a single-crown on it i currently have a scott gambler 2014 and put fox 36 27.5 on it with 180mm it feels good
Jeff. What did you do with all your moto gear while at the trailhead? I get so paranoid about people stealing or messing with things. Do you have a way to secure, or just take our chances? Thanks
Good Q! The majority of trailheads I frequent are soooo far off the beaten path that it's not much of an issue. I've found city centers to be WAY more sketchy than trailheads. I do have a tiny cable lock that I feed thru my helmet, jacket arm, and pant leg to lock the most important safety stuff to the bike. I use the same lock to lock the MTB when getting groceries or anything. In the USA and Canada, motos aren't usually that prone to getting rifled thru and stuff stolen as cars are- less coverage for a thief, somewhat obvious that it's not the bike's owner, and not that much to really "score" from a moto...
Just thinking about safety, do you use Beacon or some other method of letting loved ones know where you are in case of injury. Going solo is fun but not fun if you get injured and can't get out on your own.
@@JeffKendallWeedThanks Jeff. Question - In addition to LMNT - do you use another drink powder or gel for calories/energy? Or just PBJs? You’re always doing these big trips - just curious!

was starting to miss your road trip vids. love watching them..living the PNW riding through your vids! thanks a bunch.
Thank you, Drew! Pnw is such a magical place, I might not ever leave… except for parts of the winter! 😂
Thanks for doing this type of videos. Moto adventures with the mtb makes your channel extra special. So fun to watch.
Thanks Rek!!!

The Ibis HD6: appropriate 👌
great seeing you at coast gravity come back again
Love to see another one of those back to back comparison videos like the one you did at whistler, but with this bike and the other 170/170 or 170/160 bikes you've got!
Thanks for the shoutout Jeff! Franci and I had fun riding with you!
These are my absolute favorite types of videos-- some great riding, adventure, and travel. What it's all about. Good stuff dude.
Thanks Brian, glad you enjoyed!
These are awesome vids. The bike the camping, cooking…. Keep these up
Thanks for this vid, really captures your trip and the area and makes me wanna plan a trip, thank you!
31:32 that's one of the best pieces of onsight trail riding I've seen
Thank you!
Excellent work. Interesting editing too. Wish I was young enough to need an HD6.
THANKS JEFF for going to the places and having the skills I could only dream of and making videos for us to see.
Thanks for watching Kenya!
Awesome video! That HD6 is my top tier dream bike but it's out of my budget. I hope an HD6 AF will grace the market soon.

Thanks for watching Chuck!
You have inspired me to do more wheelies
Sounds like my work here is done
That campsite looks amazing
Just don’t tell anyone, needs to stay a secret
I have an Altitude here in Bham you could ride if you want a comparison to the HD6. Its a medium.
Keep up the road trips on the bike! Some of the best stuff you do. Love camping/bike/adventures

love to see more moto wheelies from the wheelie master. bonus points for MTB on the rack!
Sweet set-up! KTM 890 and an Ibis Mojo6.
1st time in history that you haven’t added volume spacer’s! Sick video😎
Such an amazing setup with the bike on the bike, camping gear and all. What a dream! Doing about the same with the car but man i'd love to do this on a moto

Awesome epik video and trail
Thanks Tomas!
Great video. Great to see more moto adventures. I am glad some cooking tips were included as well! Heal up fast!
Glad to see this review. Loving mine! Planning to sell my ripmo and add a smuggler to go with the hd6. So fun to try all the bikes!!
The sunshine coast is amazing for riding.
What’s better a Sunshine Coast or Vancouver Island???
I cannot decide between 2x2 cycles horizontal vs vertical rack, vertical seemed better, but when you have horizontal like Jeff over backseat it seems equally good, I dont want stick out too much at the back, I want it for longer trail bike (mondraker foxy 29 - 1236mm wheelbase), this HD6 should have even longer wheelbase and looks pretty good on the bike.
seems like the mullet setup is more balanced for jumping now, would still love to have the hd6 with full 27s
More of this
Thank you! It’s only ever get nearly the same clicks as basic review videos 😂
*if only
Totally get it - looks like you had an epic trip though, thanks for bringing us along. 🤘🏻
Thanks again for watching these videos are very self indulgent, so I am very thankful for the views they do get!
Been waiting on this
This versus a Firebird on south mountain on the black/double black trails? Great video Jeff, so jealous of your moto trips!
I'm curious about Jeff's thoughts here too, comparable bikes in many ways but the size of the Firebird didn't seem to be near as much of an issue.
Great video. Great info. That bike rack scares me.✌
Works great with loaner bikes!

Great video as always Jeff!! I absolutely love the Moto adventure episodes

Great, I'm waiting the HD6. Besides, Can you do a review on Giant Reign 2023?
Love the vid! The HD6 is such a pretty bike
Thank you!
You just need to add clips of yourself cooking in the woods with a cup of coffee then we’re set 🤓
Beautiful part of the country. Great riding video. Keep up the great work. I'm not going to lie...you rode the HD5 way better on single track. Seemed like a more versatile bike vs. the HD6.
If I was buying one of these bikes, I would buy the Ripmo carbon before any of the others.
Good content 👍

Hoping there’s an HD6AF in the works!
Dude with the gas can was a g
Clearly, this is not the most important detail of the video, but what's the name of your pour over setup @16:46?
Ahhh I got it at REI, I forget the model!
No worries, thank you! Keep up the great work and epic adventures!@@JeffKendallWeed
Hey how did she come up or where can you get that motorcycle bicycle stand for your bike can you talk about that more too
Hell ya on the hand grind coffee. Got to work for it!
Ha ha ha but it’s not that hard lol

😂 that sounds backwards! I’d rather put a dual crown fork on a short travel bike… 😂
@@JeffKendallWeed if it works it works HAHAHHAH
Couldn't afford a modern day enduro bike but i don't like dual crown forks because of the steering limit
Can you do a review on status 160? I know it's a budget bike but I am really curious on what your take is on it. Thanks for great content
@@JeffKendallWeed you rule.
Do you thing it would be possible to do this on a 125 cc aadventure or dual sport motorcycle, or would it be too weak?
@JeffKendallWeed how do you find the sizing? I assume you are on a medium? To small? Just right? Short? Would you try Large?
Hey JSW I think the medium fits me great- same as all other ibis since about 2017. I am 174cm / 5’8”.
Love to see you on Santa cruz bikes 😊
What did you think about the wheel set?
Wish I could find one to ride! Has been hard to get a loner
@JeffKendallWeed any thoughts on the wheels that were on the HD6? If I saw them correctly, they were the crank brother synthesis.
Just thinking about safety, do you use Beacon or some other method of letting loved ones know where you are in case of injury. Going solo is fun but not fun if you get injured and can't get out on your own.
Jesus is my safety beacon
Hey man great Vid. How tall are you and did you demo the size 3 or the 4?. Thx
I am 5’8” and this is a medium AKA “S2”. I would not want any bigger for this bike.
The theme . . . this bike is a little big, but great at what it does best . . . enduro style DH.
Can you try magped
No, sorry
Dammit, I think I’m going to get this bike now
Ha ha ha me too!
Can we talk about gravel bike rider guy with clip in sandals?
How do you avoid getting pinged for obscuring the numberplate? Or is that not a thing in the USA?
That is not a big deal in the USA. It is more important to have a Front license plate on your car and you have a visible rear license plate.
@@JeffKendallWeed Cool, here in Australia they are not as lenient. Love the rig, BTW.
You tend to make any bike look nimble
Thank you!
So you're back to riding clips, huh?
Oh just heard you mention the bit about your toe and stiff shoes.
Doctors orders… MTBing in clipless>not MTBing at all 😂
👍👍👍
I wonder why they dropped the 'mojo' name from the bike. Trying to distance themselves from old model names?
I have a hard time understanding decisions like that
I wonder if its due to the new frame design. It doesn't have the "Mojo" look to it at all...at least in that regard, I can kind of understand.
0:36 that's crazy to me, ppl are pumping out new trails all the time
I would think w/ all the YT clout, JKW would be riding all the loamers
I never film/share the unsanctioned trails, just the public, and I get bored of those eventually!
Broke your toe mountain biking with a famous mountain biker... Did I miss that in one of your videos? 🤔
I almost posted the video from that today- but was too excited to post this instead
@@JeffKendallWeed it's okay... I followed the link and ordered some lmnt anyway. 🙂
Motorcycles should be allowed to split lanes
Yes! Truth is we can always split, but problem is, the law doesn’t always agree 😂
🤝🏾🇺🇸💪🏾👍🏾
Ahem, they lost the Mojo!
Did they?!
@@JeffKendallWeed sure did, it's just the HD6 officially.
Anyone know if you can buy an HD6 as frame only? This bike is extremely tempting 😄
Nvm - LMGTFY - $3.8k 😮
It will be offered as a frame only but for now I have only seen complete bikes in stock
@@JeffKendallWeedThanks Jeff. Question - In addition to LMNT - do you use another drink powder or gel for calories/energy? Or just PBJs? You’re always doing these big trips - just curious!
