I love this song.Bear McCreary made the Battlestar Galactica show the same way John Williams made Star Wars. Both composers were able to take the visual and create a Sonic mood that goes with the visuals. That said the interpretation, the way you played this piece was awesome thank you.

It's not just the video editing... this is by far the technically best version of this song on piano on TH-cam. Beyond the playing skill though, it is also the version which seems to have the absolute most "feeling" behind it.

I'm learning again after a 35 year hiatus (thanks for the trauma terrible piano teacher..) and ai picked this to learn because it's so awesome. I'm not managing the tempo yet, arthritic fingers don't help, but I'm getting there. Thanks for the inspiration to work towards being half as good as you ❤

@DeadRising2Helper Looks like a roland 307. Its a beautiful piano and IMO its probably the most realistic of all the digital piano's currently on the market. It uses Rolands new "SuperNATURAL" sound engine. I have the next model down but this one really is a world above, I have played on them before and feels just perfect to play with all the quirks of the grand piano built in. Wont go wrong with buying one of those.

There is something about the way you play this at 0:30-0:40 that makes this the best piano cover on youtube for me. Goes perfectly with the clip you have used there. If this was a better quality recording I could almost love it more than the original track :)

You may be even an amateur and need some weeks to master the piece - but you played it very well. It´s really good, like played by an profi. (And the piece is so beautiful, my piano crys for playing it...)

i wonder, did bear mccreary see this beautiful performance? if he did, how is he reacted or responded?
I must admit it but this piece played only with the piano sounds better than the original. The original I found to be too soft and seemed to drown itself out for some reason. Hearing each note played by the piano gives it more clarity. Would have been more suited to the scene I think.
How many takes did it take you to get this right? Either way, such a wonderful piece of art and played so well as well.

It was recorded from my camera, and I haven't other sources :( . The only video on my channel with HQ sound is my John Williams' Lincoln Performance.
But I hope that I'll re-record all the BSG stuff in high quality...
