    I saw a 372 oe on my local for sale for 70 bucks. I truly hope that saw is going to come home to me :) Gonna throw a full wrap, muff mod, etc on it.

    Nice build. Going to build my 266xp with a 52mm bore, head gasket delete to start with. A sleeper 272xp..😆. I too enjoy the 200 series saws the best. It would be nice if Ryan or someone, would put together a nut, bolts, bearing, seals, top end, mag, clutch, oilers linkages and rubber grommets kit for these saws. Maybe a check list purchase, deal. All the needs and bits, one shop, one purchase. TC Mahalo Tinman 🤙🤙🤙

    Well, after a few years of hunting local, I have finally found and brought home 2-266s; once of which is the 300 year edition! Both running saws.....y'all would kill me if you knew what I paid but here I'm the Maritimes the going rate on saws is bonkers. Looking forward to getting them in the wood this weekend!

    I followed Harvey's 272xp cylinder and piston advice for my 268 and it's a Strong runner. It pulls a 28" full house no problem. Followed your advice for assembly and haven't had any issues. The both of you are great teachers.
    Quick question for you or anyone really. How come people don't run the 272 "west coast" HD airfilter more? Simple air filter and clamp. No gaskets, or extra screws. Seems much simpler than the other air filter designs. And makes for even easier disassembly and install.
    Take it easy and take care.

    • @tinmanssaws
      @tinmanssaws  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So our tips helped you build a good running saw!
      I dont run the 272 filter cause they don't fit under the 266xp top cover.

    I bought a blown up saw that the wrist pin clip let go. Now I am paranoid every time I build a saw to make sure they are good and seated. Glad your starting to feel better. The flu can be rough especially when you have newborns around.

    Try applying the Motoseal with small 10ml syringe. Drug stores sell them for 30 cents or so. 1mm tip without a needle lays down a perfect 'factory like' bead, no mess.

    I’m putting two saws together right now. One is a 266SE that’s getting a 268XP top end. Other is a 61 that’s getting a Jonsered 630 top end. Can’t wait to get them done, they’re both in really good condition.

    I have used permatex motoseal few times and dont like it much. Dirko is what i use now. In a past i have used Reinzosil and it works very well. Dirko and Reinzosil are easy to work with unlike motoseal.

    Is a husky 266 and a jonsered 670 interchangeable, if so this could solve my barrell supply issues.
