You ripper, this is the reason I made this video!! Glad it worked for you mate, same here I struggled for hours on this one tulle I worked out the knack. Cheers mate
Hahahah cheers brother no dramas I can't take full credit I did read about this trick on online forums so shout out to the person that first wrote about it but I didn't find any videos on it so hopefully this keeps helping people into the future
Very finicky indeed!! Hahah, what I would suggest is pushing the removal tools all the way until you feel a firm click and then push the removal tools outwards and pull. Let us know how you go!!
Hearing the click isn't too important mate what you want to make sure is that you are pressing the locking tabs inward so that way they disengage and you can wriggle the radio unit forwards
Howdy, there is a way. I did it with my falcon wagon. Using a line level converter. It converts the signal from the rear speakers and gives you an RCA (white/red audio plugs) that you can then plug into amp. I made a video on my falcon doing this install incase it helps you out. Falcon Wagon subwoofer install and you should see it. Cheers
Hey mate I’m having the same trouble getting the head unit removed. I’ve got the same exact crack on the bottom left and the removal keys won’t stay clicked in and I can’t get the head unit to come out. Is there anything else I can do to remedy the situation?
Hi mate. Shove the removal tools in all the way till you can hear a click. Even if you can't hear a click all good just make sure the removal tools are in deep. From there, put leftward pressure on the left one, rightward pressure on the right one and pull. The inner lock tabs will release with the extra pressure pushing them into radio body so that they disengage from the mounting case.
Champion mate, watched countless videos on how to remove, just couldn’t. As soon as you mentioned that trick, out it came. Legend

Hi, not sure if you would know but wondering if you’re able to attach sub/amp to these stereos? I have a vz sedan 2005, same stereo as that one

@@FordMercGuyis there a way to remove it if the locking tabs are messed up? I've tried everything and it won't come out
The clicking isn't important. The important part is levering the tools outward to compress the springs from their locked position.
Shoot bro made eyes to do it
