Dave I was born and raised in the fair Haven section of New Haven I knew Debbie. Moved to Denver Colorado almost 2 years ago. When I say where I’m from people say “ home of Apizza” that blew my mind. Some of them showed me your videos and I love them…. You are spot on With Sally’s Pepe’s is good for its “white clam” Grand Apizza is a great neighborhood spot for locals when the Line is too long at the top 3 tourists spots. The same family recipe that Sally’s and Pepe’s use is also used at Grand. The one thing you need to consider and the thing that most New Haven locals will tell you is All New Haven Apizza is better when you get a small pie Or a 12” They cook better. If you are in Denver check out The Greenwich get a pepperoni 🍕 see Jenn (the hostess) Slice works is another one in Denver I guess the owner is from New Haven area but I don’t think anywhere compares to my old city: The Elm City- a
Foxon Park Beverages is on the same road as John & Maria's you passed right by it. You should stop by, I'm sure they would give you a tour. It would make a great addition to your New Haven area reviews.
