'I wouldn't rule out anything': Kaja Kallas on Nato fighting Russia in Ukraine

  • Estonia Prime Minister Kaja Kallas is one of Ukraine's biggest allies - and says Nato needs to do more against the threat of Russia.
    [Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News...]
Estonia is also one of Nato's biggest spenders. The country borders Russia and could be one of the first countries if Putin decided to invade.

The western world lives in la-la-land because it feels defeated. So it looks up to Kallas to lead them. That is the depth of the defeat.

      Kallas is a liar.
She claimed her family suffered under the Soviet regime, when in reality her own father was a high ranking Communist.

It's understandable that former Soviet Union satellites have an axe to grind with their former master , something Washington craftily exploits. These nations don't recognise they are led by the nose to destruction.
Washington doesn't care a bit about European destruction. Its wars always were conveniently far away from U.S. homeland. European crises always offered opportunities for Washington. Both worldwars made the U.S. an imperialist world empire . Plus they paved the road towards Israel.
WW2 presumably started because of Poland , which after 5 years and millions of deaths was dumped on another tyrant. A tyrant which was very useful to beat the Nazis.

She is right , this is 1938 , Putin got only weakness when he took Crimea from Ukraine , like Hitler , that only spured him on for the next land grab . He thinks ,and is just as evil as Hitler. All wars are started by a perception of weakness , Argentina did not think the british could retake the Falklands , they thought that was impossible , Putin did think it would be over in a week , and he would visit Kyiv like Hitler visited Paris.

Kallas is one of the most stupid leaders in Europe. She has called for breaking up Russia into a thousand pieces, exactly proving one of Vladimir Putin's main points: not content with breaking up the Soviet Union in 1991, USA/NATO wants to break up and destroy Russia. Kallas heads a micro-nation of 1.3 million people and wants to wage all-out war against Russia, a nation of 144 million with a strong military and extensive natural resources. You don't need to be particularly pro-Russian or pro-Putin to realise that she is one of the dumbest and most incompetent "leaders" in Europe. If you want to start WW3 with Russia, and destroy Europe once and for all (after the horrible experiences of WW1 and WW2), then by all means, support this stupid woman that Estonians are unlucky to have.0

Excuse me, I think POTUS who is shadowed 24/7 with a Pentagon Officer who holds the 'Football', literally the 'red button' which can start WWIII, knows more what he is doing then you do. Ukraine never could have survived as a nuclear power, Putin would have taken them out a long time ago with that as a Casus Belli, not to mention they didn't have the launch codes or ability to maintain or upgrade them. The fault is two fold, neither the West nor Ukraine (yes Ukraine!) prepared for this full invasion after 2014. Ukraine is a conventional arms building country, but their MOD wasn't buying any. All their tank production went overseas.
And yes escalation is a serious issue that I think the leadership has a better handle on then anybody on the internet, so it makes no sense for you to on the one hand say 'just give them ', and on the other hand talk about WWIII. Final comment about giving them 'whatever it takes', you know they didn't use all the arms that were supplied for the spring counter offensive. Their army is still operating under Soviet doctrine, which is small squad based. That's why the Bradley is so effective. The US advised a major effort to push to Crimea but they didn't do it, instead fiddled around and then just sent out squads, which inevitably led to this attritional war.

      @AndrePepink
False equivalency. US has agreements and personell to maintain the few remaining nuclear weapons oficcially owned and controlled by Pentagon. Ukraine actually posessed nuclear systems on their own for around 4 years and had capabilities and personell to use them. They were left in Ukraine when Soviet army returned to Russia, and reason Ukrainians had competence to use them is because in largest part it was Ukrainian engineers who not only designed and maintained ICBM/naval nuclear systems, but actually produced them before.
Idk what you try to say, but if Russia could have taken them in 1990-1992 without a blip, why would they sit down with US and UK top diplomats and drafted Budapest memorandum in exchange? The Belarus and Kazakhstan didn't have to do that despite also possesing USSR nukes at the time.
I'll tell you the main reason Ukraine happily agreed: they were in unprecedented financial crisis with record inflation, which made maintenance of the aged ICBMs an untenable nightmare. That and promises of safeguarding the country's security by 3 parties worked.. untill they didn't. If you wanted to make a point about Budapest Memorandum being weak in international law, you could have come up with something less rashist to prove that point. And mine is: Ukraine were tricked and betrayed by more than just Russia.

@@TB-bb6kb In 2002, American historian Ian Gross, a Polish Jew who fled to the United States during World War II, published the book “The History of the Destruction of the Jewish Shtetl.”
In it, he cites numerous eyewitness accounts and a number of documents that irrefutably prove the fact of the most brutal crime committed by the Polish residents of the town of Jedwabne, which is 100 km from Bialystok.
On June 23, 1941, the town of Jedwabne was occupied by the Germans. At that moment, approximately 1,600 Jews lived in it. Half of the entire population. And on July 10, a terrible pogrom against Jews broke out here.
The neighboring Poles, who had lived together for centuries, suddenly became brutal. They killed their Jewish neighbors with barbaric cruelty. They chopped off their heads with axes, pierced their stomachs with pitchforks, cut out the tongues of the unfortunates, gouged out their eyes, and drowned them in a pond.
The Poles killed Jews in Wonsoš, Wizna and other cities and towns. And in total, during the war years, the Poles carried out 25 more similar actions in the eastern part of Poland.
And when Jews escaped from the Holocaust, the Poles caught them and handed them over to the Germans.
In 2001, at a funeral ceremony in Jedwabne dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the pogrom, the then President of Poland A. Kwasniewski officially apologized to the Jewish people for these crimes.
