@@irspider Hello, troll. This response is not for you but for other people reading this thread. Continuation War began 25.6.1941 when USSR invaded Finland by air raids and cut diplomatic ties with Finland. By that point Finland had received security guarantees from Germany but importantly had made no promises to invade USSR unless invaded first. Once invaded, Finland received help from Germany in the form of troops, weapons and financial support. The alliance was quite one-sided since Finland didn't help Germany with it's campaign against Western allies or it's genocidal ambitions. Finland was the only axis ally which didn't participate in the holocaust. As for vivilian casualties, Finland was the ONLY country in WW2 which didn't bomb civilian targets despite having the capability. The only one. USSR on the other hand conducted devastating air raids on Helsinki while Russian partisans murdered defenceless civilians in cold blood in sneak attacks and USSR pulled a genocide of Izhorian Finns and Karelians. Finland pulled out of the war when it was possible - when USSR no longer demanded unconditional surrender after Finland halted the Russian advance in heroic battles against numerically far superior forces such as battles of Tali-Ihantala and Vuosalmi. That was before Germany's ultimate defeat.

As a veteran of the Estonian Defense Forces, I am glad to see the ongoing necessary military training of the younger generations. However, PM Kaja Kallas, @07:00 incorrectly states that in 1938 that the Czechs had no weapons. When the factual truth is that the Czechoslovakian Army in 1938 was very well armed, the Czechs had lots of excellent weaponry. The problem with the Czechs was that the Czechoslovakian president Benz was weak, shortsighted, and naïve. Similarly, the presidents of Estonia and Latvia (Pats and Ulmanis) who were dictators were also naïve ,shortsighted and weak. Only Lithuania's president, Antony Smetona, was the only Baltic president who wanted to have official armed resistance to the Soviet Russians. However, the Lithuanian Parliament arbitrarily interfered and overruled him. It was a big mistake, a foolish political decision on the part of the Czech government not to fight the Nazi invaiders in 1938. As well as for the Estonians, Latvians, and Lithuanians in 1939/1940 to not to fight the Soviet Russians. Never Again!

Hello, troll.

Only Lithuania's president, Antony Smetona, was the only Baltic president who wanted to have official armed resistance to the Soviet Russians. oh I can answer that , thanks. Anyone who does not respect international borders.
@@deank.4169 you mean the USA, right? Serbia, Iraq, Lybia, Syria. NATO the "defensive alliance" was actively involved in some of those.
@@andyjones1982 Sure. You mean terrorists states that can't stay within their borders , right? The free world has learned from the past. It is better to stand together and aid those who feel the same. It's simple concept but there will always be those who do not grasp it.
I am sorry but I am not dying for Estonians but it is good that people should spend more and learn how to protect their country.
Russia cant even deal with a bunch of armed turnip farmers in ukraine.
It is the opposide. West is so afraid of sudden fall of ukranian army, she threatens in land strikes like a rabid dog.

How would Estonia take the stupid way? This is about Russia's decision to invade.

If this was russia the western media would say that russia is training child soldiers 😅
"Estonian army defeats Russian invasion".
Not a headline we are likely to see in this lifetime.
I'll correct it for you. "Estonia holds the line until the free world arrives in force".
Not such bad chances. The whole border is rivers and lakes, with lakes being half of it, and there's a lot of forests on, and the third largest city in the country is right on the northern border, behind a substantial river. It would be a costly and expensive invasion, especially since Estonia's allies would be able to give warning so they could mobilize.
Trust me, no free person in the West wants to be tied to the fate of Estonia, in such a scenario. Only the most propagandized have any interest in fighting Russia.
This is what happens when you are not to be neutral
they were before IIWW. it would make things only more easy for russa
Russian Federation is not a threat for anyone.
But everyone should be afraid and work hard to mitigate the consequences of the huge economic crisis that is coming to Europe. So that's kinda ok desicion to scare everyone in EU. It works.
it is a threat to military age russians.
just like it isn't for Ukraine, like it wasn't for Georgia, or like it wasn't for Chechnya, or Finland, how many unbutchered neighbours does russia even have left?(being a country with the widest possible border)🥲

Polish government had arms to fight Germans. So was French government. So was British and Soviet government. They also had land and people on contrary to the dot on the map - Estonia.
The best defence strategy for Estonia - prevent they government from making stupid statements and pretend like they capable of something.
