  • In this 82nd Video from Classic Car ChitChat you will get to see a stunning 1957 Chevy Bel Air that has been is the same family for 2 generations. The Bel Air has always been an American iconic car that was owned by Hollywood’s finest and including the King - Elvis Presly too!. This beautiful car has the 283 cubic-inch V8 which back in the day produced 283 HP!. The car also had fuel injection and was really a rocket with tons of chrome and still is one of the most iconic Chevy’s ever!
In case you are keeping Track this is Video # 82 of Classic Car ChitChat Videos!
I hope my Classic Car ChitChat video’s make you smile. I do them in my spare time because I truly love cars and my intentions are simply to honour the beautiful cars I get to see and to really understand the passion and love of the vehicle by the driver (or caretaker as Jay Leno would say) of the car. I also understand too that my videos perhaps lack the polish calibre of great TH-camrs like: Doug DeMuro, Scotty Kilmer, and of course my favourite Supercar Blondie. I also know that I can’t even come close the quality & finish you get from the likes of Jeremy Clarkson and the boys at Top Gear. I think they use a little fancier equipment than my little iPhone… LOL
    Mission Statement:
My Objective through creating these videos is to shine the spotlight on people who love their vehicles whether it be a car, motorcycle, or even a bicycle…. Bottom line is if it has wheels and you love it then let’s show that passion to the world!
    Equipment Used:
Camera - Just an iPhone SE (Nothing fancy - which proves anyone can use whatever you have handy to make a video… you don’t need really expensive equipment)
Gimbal - DJI OM4 - For that ultra-smooth cinematic look. (To be honest... still not quite sure how to use it but one day I will figure it out!)
Audio - Rode Wireless GO II (I gotta be honest… this is really the biggest investment that was made… I wish there was a cheaper option but after the first couple of videos I soon realized that audio quality is important and hopefully better than the onboard mic on the iPhone!

If you have read this far, then I thank you. As always, I truly appreciate your “thumbs-up”, and by leaving your comments it demonstrates to me that I managed to get you involved and hopefully made you smile. Most importantly when you subscribe to my channel then you are truly acknowledging my effort to help share with others like you my passion and love for “all things that have wheels” and honouring the people who take care of them.
    Thank You
    Kevin

The 57 Chevy is perhaps the most iconic cars that we all wanted. It is a truly an amazing car and with 2 people who have taken rhe time to restore it and bring her back to hee glory.

My Pa, used to have a 55 Bel Air also in red but without the gold badges. I used to love being in that car as we drove around town. He built it with my uncle Rob and when they had to sell the car to start a business I know that they really missed that car. Watching this video brought back so many memories for me and sadly both my dad and uncle Rob have passed now but it just brought a smile on my face. Thank you for sharing.

This is my dream car. I have a 55 and 57 both are in need of full restoration and were sadly owned by my dad before he passed away. This video gave me the inspiration to have them restored and I plan to do it with my daughter. Wonderful video thank you for sharing.

Michael, First of all thank you so very much for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. My intention for the videos is to allow ´ordinary people’ who love cars an opportunity to speak about their car and why that car means so much to them. After all we are all the "caretakers"of our cars (as Jay Leno rightly says). 👏 You lucky dog to own such a gem.

Jose, thank you and I agree. I also wanted to take a moment to personally thank for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. As you may have seen in my videos that my intention is to showcase not only the beautiful car and really give the owner of the car (the caretaker as Jay Leno rightly says) the opportunity to share their story, love and passion for their car. Thanks again Kevin.

@@ClassicCarChitChat Love 💜 the positive advice. Yes, I have a die cast sitting next to me everyday. The turquoise colour. It’s in my office.
Yes, it’s all about story telling. And with over 65 years history this classic car has all of it.
      Yup, I am

My intention for the videos is to showcase the car and also allow the owner of the car (the caretaker as Jay Leno rightly says) the opportunity to share their story, love and passion for their car. I completely agree with you. I think too the cars from the 50’s had style and elegance and looked so unique compared to modern day cars where it’s hard sometimes to tell apart a Honda and a Toyota. As my friend Doug Ellis (check out his video of the nipple pink olds) says today’s cars are all ´Belly Button Cars’… ie we all have one and they all look the same!

You are probably correct.. this car is often seen cruising around.. se is hard to miss!

Toltec, First of all thank you so very much for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. My intention for the videos are not to be "how to" videos (I think there are amazing videos made by others far qualified than me) instead my focus is to create a platform where "ordinary" people who love cars get an opportunity to speak about their car and why that car means so much to them. I think the plan is to restore eventually to the period correct interior too.
