I love 71-74 Dodge Chargers. This one is in fabulous condition. I had a base 73 as my daily driver when I was 24 and I wish I had been able to keep it and restore it as the owner of this 71 did, moving overseas made it impossible unfortunately. Anyway, thanks for this video!

Had 5 of these, from a 1974 to a 1984 Bertone. Fuel injected 1980 was my favorite. 150 hp sounds like a reach. Maybe 100 hp. Abarth had an expensive 4 valve/cylinder aftermarket head that was rare but it’s not on this car.

Engine is from a later model. looks like a 1200cc which came out in 1962. My first car was a 1960 beetle. 1.1 litre top speed 69 miles per hour. Took the bumper bars off one day, top speed 72 miles per hour. No fuel gage instead a floor mounted lever, engine sputters, flick the lever with foot, and another 36 miles to get you to the next town to refuel.

2:40 Loewy brought the team that designed the Avanti together. The other team members were Studebaker designer Bob Andrews, Studebaker engineer John Ebstein (yes, that us the correct spelling), and a young man with experience designing fiberglass boats, Tom Kellogg. Kellogg was the only team member still active in the late 1990s when the second generation Avanti was under development, designing it around he Pontiac Firebird platform. John Ebstein was the last survivor of the team after Kellogg died in 2001in a car accident.

Whoa Nelly! Senior having a memory meltdown here. In 1967 I took delivery From Sports Cars Unlimited in Port Credit of a British Racing Green MGB ordered with the options of wooden steering wheel, wooden shift knob, wide front chrome badge bar, Trunk lid chrome luggage rack and Borg Warner overdrive. I then added lucas PL 700 headlights (look like those on your car), Radyot Driving spotlights, Perelli Centaurato tires, Peco tuned exhaust, and Weber dual throat carbs. I loved that car! Sadly; marriage and family obligations relegated it and my 68 Triumph TR6 to the seller's table. Just as you're doing, but with a special girl beside me, the Forks of the Credit with fall colours was a 'must do' every year of owning that car. Thank you so much for that memory lane full pass.

This reminds so much of when I was in College and I bought a Midget and I drove the car from California to Seattle in the Fall when I was a College student. The sights were spectacular.

Here in the US I once had the Midget and loved it until it had an engine fire. Many, many years later I heard that there was a recall because of the original manual fuel pump being in a place where it would rust out and leak gas onto the manifold. I'm guessing that might be what happened to mine. One strange thing I noticed is that on the Midget they didn't reverse the direction of the windsheild wipers from the UK models. Either way I'm finally in a position that I'm saving up to get another one next year.

Great video and reminded me of when I owned a Datsun years ago it was a blast. I also had a SMART car (not the Brabas) tons of fun. The icing on the cake was the Suzuki Cappuccino. Never heard of it before but I love this cute little car.🥰🥰🥰
