Definitely remove all combo plus if you are still learning about his patterns! I found almost all bosses can be full combo twice if you don't have combo plus. When you are confident enough, then you can equip them to spice up your combos. watch my latest vid against Larxene, I use full combo plus on her to exploit her revenge value.
