Just goes to show how great the Super Crush 100 really is. Very surprised I actually think the Orange 🍊 sounded much better.
In this demo I also like the orange better, we must also take into account that the orange has another speaker and another microphone. Orange sounds beastly!!😉
Different speakers, different cabs, different mics… come on now
It's not very fair.
The Orange sounded really good. How about a speaker-to-speaker comparison? Going through the same speaker would be a better judge of the tones.
Next time with the same speaker.
The speakers affect the sound much more than the preamp, The V30 brightness is very obvious
both sound great. I play the super crush 100 myself. My other guitar player has the JCM 900. they sound great together as well!
Good combination!! I love both amps. Congratulations!!👌😉
I am a Marshall fan.. The Orange in this sounded better through my monitors. Nice!!
I also personally like the sound of the orange in the video better, although the marshal also sounds great. Thank you!!
Honestly both are pretty badass tones, the Marshall sounded really aggressive but the orange sounded really heavy
Being tube, the marshal has a little more dynamics, much more volume, the orange more gain, it's more aggressive, although the clean channel sounds quite clean.
Orange sound vs the Marshall sound. But sound great in their own way.
I have a CR120 and a JCM 900. They both get the same bitey, growly tone british high-gain amps are known for. The main thing I noticed is the JCM is a bright amp while the CR120 is a dark amp. The CR120 has a lot more gain too, the gain at 6 is about equal to the JCM dimed. Other than the slight difference in harmonic response on the CR120, there is no tone difference.
Yes, the tone is very similar, the orange has more crunch.
Do this again using the same cab.
I will 👍😉
Old video..but the amp in a mix with bass and drums would be killer..both sound great.. comes down to right tool for the job stuff I think
are they both going through the same cab?
No, I know it's not fair, but it was the best way I have to make the comparison. The orange goes with vintage celestion 30 and behringer b9 microphone, the marshall with voice of the world and senheiser e835 microphone. It's in the description.
900 wins wowowowo great video
hahaha... i love marshall, and i love orange!! Thank you very much!!! 😊
The Marshall sounds great but it also costs almost 6x as much as the Orange Super Crush 100.
I love both amps, but it is true that with the orange you will pay less and save on tubes 😉
Orange Super Crush all day!!
Hate to admit it but the Orange Super Crush sounded better to me. Coming from a lifetime Marshall fan.
I am also a big fan of marshall but in this case I prefer orange. Now I also have a Marshall 2525h and I am very happy with its sound.
It's the mids on the Marshall that sound so good to me, they just cut right through any mix. The Orange sounded more scooped to me. They both sound good but if I had to pick I would take the Marshall all day.
The truth is that the Marshall sounds better in the mix, or so I think. The orange has more mids and is more brutal, but the marshall is the marshall... hahaha, I wouldn't know which one to choose...😉👍
The Orange actually has more mids,
@@choplass I have to disagree. I've been playing guitar for 30 years, own 3 tube heads and 2 solid state heads. I know what mids sound like and what a scooped amp sounds like. The Orange is 100% mid scooped just like every solid state amp. Marshall's are famous for having tons of midrange.
@@craigharrison5406 The Orange It doesn't sound like it has that scooped mids imho.
Can you suggest me some amps both tube and transistor?
Thanks man.
Nope no scoop in crush. Quite the opposite. It’s even presents almost identical in daw in graphic eq to a Peavey xxl high gain setting in lead setting. Very mid heavy. Enough so that you will get those nice fart cannons palm muting on v30. I absolutely love the orange. Of course it’s all subjective to each player. I own tube and solid. Both are great in their own ways. Have not owned a high end modeling amp, however I’d probably just use the 5150 patch anyway.
Orange is by no means high gain. More of a rock gain or even hardcore gain. I do boost it for metal and chug stuff, but mostly enjoy just rocking out and having the freedom to not have to swap cabs and amps if I just want a little drive.
Your audio source may sound scooped. But it for sure is not the amp scooped.
Untuk masa yang singkat orange menang... Kalau suda berjam jam lama nya mungkin marshall yang hebat😊😊😊😊
👍
orange wasn't bad, but marshall was much more dynamic ...
2nd one is a little thighter
Silly comparison. Doesn't make any sense because you're putting a 1x12 combo speaker up against a 4x12 cabinet. Ridiculous. What you REALLY should have done is switched the speaker cable instead of the guitar cable. lol
The truth is, I didn't do a good job...
jcm900 sounds lifeless, dull, uninspiring. orange>jcm900
