In just 6 months, India will be home to Asia's largest airport - The Noida International Airport, which will commence operations from December 2024! Yes, this mega structure is going to be so huge that it will surpass even China's current biggest airport - the Beijing Capital International Airport! And do you know its budget? A whopping 30 thousand crores!!! Now, I'm definitely thrilled about this entire development... But I see two major problems in it!
First, Asia's biggest and the world's 4th largest airport is not being built in any metropolitan city of India but in a small village named Jewar!
The second problem - look at this map - this new airport is being constructed just 72 km away from India's largest airport, IGI Airport. Why do we need two such large airports so close to each other??
Well, I would say the UP government has chosen exactly that place to build the airport because they have a very big plan behind it!
So, in today's video, we will discuss in detail Asia's largest upcoming airport, Jewar Airport, being built in India. What are the special features that make this airport unique? And can this airport boost UP and in turn our country's economy? Let's discuss!!

Jewar airport will supercharge the development of areas like Delhi, Noida, Gr. Noida, Faridabad, Palwal, Mathura, Ghaziabad.. impacting more than 10+ crore people (7% of India's population).
In addition these developments are happening:
1. One of the largest industrial zones in India & a huge Dry port is coming up in Prithla, Faridabad (with direct connectivity to Jewar)
2. Jewar airport connectivity with Delhi-Mumbai expressway.
3. Jewar airport connectivity with dedicated freight corridor.
4. Huge planned township of Greater Faridabad will have direct connectivity with Jewar (just 15 kms away).
This airport alone will almost add 2-3% to India's GDP

What about muzaffarnagar, it takes more than 3 hrs to igi and more than 3 hrs to dehradun and more than 3hrs to jewar also . Why no airport for us , though agra has a domestic airport which solves problem easily for aligarh, mathura people , gov could expand it to accomodate more flights , it would be economical, but why an airport could not be built for muzaffarnagar??

i am from jewar the prices of land skyrocketed after the beginning of construction of airport. jewar used to be a small town and the land was very cheap because of infertility now things are different
I live in Greater Noida and i can definitely say that this airport has already started the traction. However, much will depend on constant support from future Governments in Uttar Pradesh. This airport could be a game changer for Uttar Pradesh because this has potential to attract corporates from Gurgaon to Noida. Noida is far ahead of Gurgaon in terms of planning and urban infrastructure however lack of proper connctivity in terms of airport, railway is one of biggest challenge for Noida. Also the seemless connectivity planned for this airport has been never seen before in India. Metro rail, rapid rail, bullet train, pods, expressway and many more. Hope all future government in UP and Center will support it in same manner.
It will help foreign tourists and industrialists more than common people. But the problem is most of the contracts will be given to corporates. Even restaurants and eatouts are out of reach for the most people. The vendors will be again franchises from big corporates. No business prospects for common people. When we don't have affordable education and health centers it speaks volumes.
These types of videos are being made to create fantasies in the minds of the people without being direct beneficiaries.

But there is a second part of development, which really matters to most of the citizens and there is a lot to do. Like why India is not building the world's best police, best municipality, best public school infrastructure and hospitals. Best universities, best judicial system and there is a long list.

What people don't understand is that this airport will be the size of Pune airport initially when it opens next year. The 'biggest airport' tag will be achieved sometime in 2040s but till then there will likely be bigger airports than Jewar. For example, Dubai has announced construction of Dubai World Central airport, bigger than Jewar.
