      @@fireblast133 The Vigilants use both magic and weaponry, so that's a minus against them. However, they are fully opposed to those who worship the deities that shamed Malacath-once-Trinimac. Logically, it's a greater evil scenario. So, not a bad move to give a Vigilant who is worthy in Orsimer custom the Scourge. Remember, the player can earn Volendrung, the Hammer of Might, whether or not the player was an Orc or not.

    surprised you guys didn't touch on the fact that almost all daedric artifacts, weapons and armor are actually lesser daedra formed and molded into new forms by the more powerful daedra. in this case the princes. so yes, the artifacts do have a mind and will of their own. the daedra don't create from nothing, they can only mold what is there already. that's why they differ from the aedra, because they are unwilling to sacrifice parts of their own being in order to create something from nothing like the aedra did.

    • @faeiger9215
      @faeiger9215 5 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Technically, the Aedra cannot create something from nothing because they have to sacrifice parts of themselves to do it. Which may mean they are using that part of themselves to mould into something new.
      But hey I could be wrong.

    I have a theory about the change in Volendrung's appearance. Since in order to acquire it in Skyrim, you place an orcish battle axe on the platform and it is replaced with Volendrung. Therefore I think the orcish battle axe gets merged with Volendrung to support its connection with the orcs through the skyrim quest to get volendrung

    10:38 the hammer being adopted by Malacath actually makes a lot of sense imo. The Dwemer chose to follow the hammer to a new land bc felt they had no choice but to leave their own homeland. I don't think it's a huge stretch to say they were outcast or spurned in this scenario, and Malacath could have taken a liking to the hammer bc of that

    Just an idea. What if the hero of Kvatch is Jygallag. The entire game of oblivion is stopping the lord of change, hence bringing order. You are the only mortal to not be driven mad by entering the isles. You bring some semblance of pseudo-order to the isles but before you can finish your work, you become Sheogorath. Upvote if you'd like them to see this, It certainly has my cogs turning. Obviously it's just a fun little thought experiment.

    • @blacksunserpent
      @blacksunserpent 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Did you really ever played Shivering Islses? Sheogorath clearly says that he is Jygallag not anyone else.

    • @Chrono_Mitsurugi
      @Chrono_Mitsurugi 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      thats an interesting idea. Especially when you consider the madness of Sheogorath.
      My question is, would that make you similar to Barbus for Clavicus Vile?

    • @ariesstorm9577
      @ariesstorm9577 5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      So the Hero of Kvatch is in fact Jyggalag in mortal form, who enters the realm of madness to fight himself and stop himself but in the end ultimately becomes himself? Madness, and just the sort of shenanigans Sheogorath would orchestrate. The Shivering Isles was supposed to happen but the Oblivion Crisis waylaid him and then other crises caught his attention. Maybe he is attempting a power grab to rule over the other Daedra.

      Rare Curios, a creation club mod that was free for a short time, has flawed varla stones, which act in the same way as Azura's star, save that they can only hold common or smaller souls.

  • @daedrawarrior3695
    @daedrawarrior3695 5 ปีที่แล้ว +17

    I think maybe it's both. Daedric Artifacts more than likely both have a mind of their own AND are controlled and reshaped by their masters. The masters are normally the creators/transformers of the artifact. Therefore giving the Daedra Lord the privilege of controlling the item and chosing when to alter it's appearance. And it's been proven in you guys's video "Daedric armor" that when you smith Daedric armor that the heart of the Daedra transforms the armor's appearance to whatever it wishes: Due to it's past owners chaotic nature. I think this rule would qualify for the artifact. Matching it's master's chaotic nature/ personality, it will form into anything it wants to. Like it's Daedric master. That and game graphics. Lol

    Here’s an idea, what if we the player are actually manifestations of the God Head? Can explain why we are closely linked to dragon breaks, the first dragon break being an idea for a game much how daggerfall ended with the warp in the west. The reason we are always all powerful, never have a backstory, and ourselves so easily able to shape destiny.

    "It is vaguely reminiscent of a throwing star"
    Man, wouldn't it be funny if an Elder Scrolls game had a fully-functional throwing-star version of Azura's Star in its code?
    Also I didn't bust ass getting to Ald Redaynia at level 1 with an Exclusive Potion of Invisibility, Scroll of Ekash's Locksplitter, Scroll of Almsivi Intervention, and a bottle of Cyrodilic Brandy so I could walk away with 70 Endurance and 10 Speed at level 1 for the Bitter Cup to be excluded from the list of Clavicus's artifacts.

  • @sebastiansilverfox6912
    @sebastiansilverfox6912 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Just a hypothesis here, but what if the artifacts are given a power to control how they manifest but are embued with a will... A drive... This would be twofold:
    Fist, they would have a specific drive. For scourge, this would be to banish daedra. For Azuras star, the drive to capture or traffic souls. For Volundrung, the drive to bathe in the blood of the weak or something. This drive would be coupled with a secondary motivation, a need to serve a master. Wanting to serve the strongest, this explains why they can pass so readily from one user to the next without issue just by killing the previous owner. The artifacts would not be very intelligent mind you but if you were a shape shifting being who yearned for nothing more than for a master to use you to accomplish your primary drive, turning into a weapon or tool to best facilitate that would be the best way to be used for that purpose once you find a powerful master with a similar goal.

      What are you drilling? My friend was making wells. Those are some big ass drills. I have ever only worked with small ones. I tried to persuade my ex to use them sometimes, like in that Bennasi`s documentary, but she doesn`t like tools at all. But then, she was with me, so IDK. People call me like that probably because I`m handy to have around. I can drive stuff for people and can remember faces really good. Not names, mind you, or messages, but if I see someone I saw him, you know. I am good with people. Used to work in a local pub. No one else wanted, `cos drunk people blabber too much, but I didn't mind and they loved me. They said that they feel like they are in that movie where they are prisoners and I am a superhero, Rorschach is his name I think. Good movie. I liked the blue guy the best. He is smart and could walk around naked. I tried to do that too. My family kicked me out. They couldn`t understand free people, I guess. It must be terrible to be so small minded. I mean, yeah, the dog did bite my pee-pee toy and it was a bit of mess for Christmas dinner, but it wasn`t that big of a deal. It`s not like I intentionally wanted kids to cry or something. Stuff happens sometimes. Well, my soup is ready. Hope you are having a fun time drilling whatever you drill. Cheers

      @@tahabashir3779 I actually did this. You know you play a stealth archer 3 playthroughs in a row and so you make a mage... Until you find a bow and decide you're a stealth archer. So next you try an Orc melee. Until you find the ebony mail and a bow, and then you're a stealth archer. Lol it's just the best way to play Skyrim, damnit and it's so hard to *not* play this way hahaha

    For a while I thought the two-handed ebony blade you get from doing the quest with Balgruuf's Son was the new form of umbra - it talks, it gets stronger when you kill people (which could be interpreted as stealing souls), and it corrupts it's wielder, while also being somewhat picky about it

    • @PunkZombie1300
      @PunkZombie1300 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's Mephala's Ebony Blade. She's the one talking to you throughout the quest. The reason it gets stronger is because it's been locked up for so long that it's weakened, and in order to regain it's strength it needs to be used in acts of betrayel.

    According to Oblivion (the game, not the realm) when you are opening the portal to Mankar's paradise, daedric artifacts contain the blood of the prince that created it. The counterpart was the blood of Tiber Septim since his apotheosis allowed for the possibility of obtaining the blood of a divine.

    I think that Azura's Star is like a CPU. What matters is the "core", being it the eletronic components in the CPU and the gem in the artifact. The case is just something made by men/mer, that eventually, got destroyed, and reconstructed according to the new owner's aesthetic tastes.
