Would be awsome if there was a helmet that had heads up had tach speed and other info . On that did you see theres a helmet out there that has some heads up features. Mostly speed and map info but you can voice command and also connect to your phone.
Lower rider S weighs in at just about 700 lbs. road glide like 820-830. Not a couple hundred lbs difference.
Sounds great. What do you expect, it's a 2.2 liter engine. I'd rather have the Kawasaki vaquero. Why pay all the extra cash for a Harley.

Jim, if you knew what you're talking about you would know that Yamaha is the company that does over 90 percent of the design work for Harley Davidson. That's been going on for 15 years. But I wouldn't expect you to be able to figure it out.

That kit is for Touring only because it comes with a new header with cat (EPA/warranty compliant), but all components are available separately so can fit a softail but no EPA/warranty if you do

Hammer 120HP kit will probably be the closest to this joy, without a turbo on a sportser.
Have recently customised a sportster to take an ultima 127ci and after enough cutting and shutting to make a boilermaker cry (there's not a lot of sportster left) I can say without a doubt that it can be done and is positively insane

I bought a lowrider s yesterday with a 131. Dyno sheet says 156 hp 166 tq. First Harley I’ve ever owned that will hold the front tire up under power to pass a car.
Im 19 and currently own a couple older harleys BUT currently working with my local dealership on getting a pearl white Road Glide with a 131 everything ive heard about the road glide is amazing and ik ill get a lot of "the 131 isnt proven yet" but thats what a warranty is for lmao

Let's just put it this way, I came into some found money and decided that thirteen Harleys was an unlucky number so I bought a new 2023 FXLRST Fast Johnny enthusiast edition and swapped out the 117 for the 131. In my 56th year of riding and have a 2013 V-Rod in the stable among the other ones and I believe it Fast Johnny rules the roost.

Beautiful bike. sounds amazing , I had a soft tail Deuce 1550 with upgraded oil pump Highlift cams, large Mikuni .2 in to 1 what system exhaust called a BOOM can , which I purchased in 2000 from the Harley dealer called downtown Seattle and had it shipped to England UK it sound amazing and awesome power 120+ if you fancied hanging onto it , which I brought brand-new , 20 years ago.
A woman that I've been with for 17 years decided to mess me up financially and mentally and I had to sell my bike. At least I've got my life back alright I've lost my partner I've lost my bike but now living in part of France which is beautiful I just wish I got my bike to ride around the mountainside .

I've got the 120ST in my 16 RGS and that is a blast! HP/ torque is crazy! I'd love to ride a bike with the 131 just to see/ feel how much of a difference there is.

I dont know enough about motorcycles, I'm building one to learn as I go, building on an unvinned bobber frame, Harley Iron 1200cc, custom painted coffin tank and rear fender and skeleton theme everything chrome. I think a 1200cc may be a bit much for my first bike, especially in a bobber, but I cant wait to learn

As far as I know you're the first one to come out with a 131 c.i. video with a kit already installed . The bike is bad ass in looks and I'd think it is in performance . Glad to see Harley is getting with it
I like that its street compliant and keeps your warranty. But once that warranty is out, put on the aftermarket performance parts. Throw on a catless exhaust, better cam and boom, destroy all tires!

Bigger engine, more gas you burn. Truth be told I got a 96ci that can keep up with anything out there. My 107 M8 street glide special gives me all I need with a twist of the throttle.
I like to ride and not have a bike on a lift all the time, and I need my bread to feed the family.

funny I looked at an upgrade on my 2018 114 heritage. they told me that it is for only touring models right now. there are slight differences between the softtails and touring bikes. the touring have the fan oil cooler. they also are rubber mounted which is not an issue but they do have the one less balancer for smoothness. the bottom line is they can put the pieces to go 131 but not the kit. not going with the screaming eagle kit would void the warranty. no way around it. I will wait and hopefully they will have a kit for the softails soon. great video though.

I wonder if they put a beefed up clutch on it. The touring clutches are a harder pull, but the proper clutch for that will require Popeye forearms.
The problem with these is that people get so giddy over the acceleration, they miss the important things, like is it dumping hot air on your legs like 1200 W hair dryer? How is the on throttle fueling? Is it smooth and linear or lurchy? Didn't look bad in the video, but cameras have gotten good at smoothing the jerky movements. Does it come with coupons for discount tires?

I've heard that the reason why these aren't available for Softtails is the way the engine is mounted is different from touring models and there is some part incompatibility but that Harley has plans to release a kit for Softtails in the next year, don't know if this is true but it is scuttlebutt I heard from my local dealership. As for one of these vs a Livewire, I'm thinking in the 1-110 the livewire wins, with all of its torque being avaliable on demand, being significantly lighter and without the need to switch gears. That said iirc the Livewire has a governor that stops the bike going faster than 110 mph, that touring bike doesn't as far as I'm aware so it should win (eventually) because it'll end up out speeding the Livewire.
From the factory, they all have a governor.

Well harley has all bikes locked in the ecm to be governed at 116 mph
I ride sports bikes much more often, high revving engines, first got my VTX1800 I was bouncing it off the rev limiter all the time, lmao. redline is like 5200 I think... I'm curious as others have mentioned, wonder how the heat is in summer in FL on that monster. My 1800 is water cooled and it gets quite toasty... but then so does my R1, it easily sits at 225-230.

$23000-28000 out the door for new Road Glide or Road Glide Special. At LEAST $10000 total in parts, labor, transmission upgrades, intake, fuel management, dyno and other stuff for a 131ci. A 2020 Triumph Rocket 3 will outperform it in every way for $23000. That is why Harley stock is tanking.

Just baught a 2000 road king coverted to a streetglide with a jims 131 and all stages done. 150hp 160lbs torque, may possibly be one of the most powerful in Canada

For those who might be interested check out Zippers Performance. For the new motor they have a 124 inch sleeper kit producing 150 ftlbs of torque and high 120’s - 130 hp . They have a high hp version as well. For reliability the sleeper kit will work fine .
I have ridden a 131 for years. It is a great engine, to bad Harley was not the first to come out with the 131

Mr. B......The Harley upgrade it’s nice but the after markets are still so much more better. They are cheaper more horsepower and more torque. It’s still disappointing Harley has either not put the 131 in the CVO’s or doesn’t have more.
The bagger is beauty , I've seen them and like them but never went that was cause it's just not me but right about now this bike or engine is making people really think twice . Engine would be bad ass in a breakout or fxdr.
Blockhead not sure about your audio set up but if you get a microphone on your back you can pick up the exhaust sound a lot better. Matt Laidlaw did this and it you can really hear the exhaust sounds in his videos. Just an idea for you. BTW thanks for the awesome test ride video!
Keep us posted on any progress with getting that into a 2020 Lowrider S as that echoes my ideas very closely. Although I must admit I'd prefer a 131 stage 3 to a stage 4 but I'm aware they don't do a stage 3 ............yet.
That the way I feel every time I ride my 18 Rocket3 Roadster. I live northeast Ohio and ride all 12 months can't stay off it.

Honestly any thing but trimphs and royal einfeilds 😂 but the Daytona is nice
sounds like they didn't do anything to the clutch, swing arm, etc. you need to beefen that stuff up when you go to displacement that big. especially when whoever buys this and really opens it up with a better exhaust, a tuner not handicapped by the EPA like a power vision, and a different cam. buddy of mine put a 124 on his road king and one thing after another broke and needed to be beefier to handle the torque and power. whoever owns this will spend thousands more eventually.

What Kinda numbers? I have my '17 Ultra up to a 128 with a Woods cam and getting 124 HP and 145 T. She's a beast! Just wondering the minimal difference between the 128 and 131.
My 114" Stage 2 Softail feels, sounds & pulls ridiculous - I'd love, Love, LOVE to get that 131 in the 2018+ Softail frame - Sweet Baby Jesus!
I've got a 99 roadstar with 125 inches. Runs great, sounds like it's taking the roof off the garage when it hits and fires. One thing I found out, for all this power, it loves gasoline. Got 5 gallon tank, and could use a bigger one for any length trip. By the way it only has about a thousand miles on it. Harley has nothing on this machine for the idle and the highway sound.

When it breaks down as harleys usually do its gonna cost $10,000 and theyre gonna fck up the repair several times so start saving and dont plan your rides to far in advance

T-man performance 128" makes more power then that 131". T-man 128" better pistons, rods, crank scraper, balanced and super tight tolerances!
Is the 131 upgrade available for liquid cooled heads like the Ultra? Also, does the kit include a couple of new rear tires so I can enjoy the bike for a few months of riding ? LOL!
I love my 2018 Heritage so much. Please let me know if this crate is doable on my softail. Might have to buy one place in storage until I kill the first motor! People will be confused when I joyfully explain I finally blew up my motor.
