      @@lamonzoscott2593 I have a 2017 RGU, which started life as a first year 107 M8. It had been assembled elsewhere (in Oregon)after top end warranty problems, with a 124 kit from FuelMoto. I wasn't confident in the build and as I passed by Moonshine on my way to Alabama, I stopped in and asked Aaron to listen to my concerns. Jamie, Mike, and Aaron immediately saw some things that needed attention. I slept in my trailer in the parking lot while they took everything apart, checked it, and reassembled the engine using their 492 cam, SE heads, 64mm TB and intake, Moonshine headpipe and mufflers, Power Commander, big injectors, probably something I'm forgetting. Dyno Tuned 133 hp 143 tq. Great for a street bike. Over 20,000 hard miles on it already and it kicks ass. Just turned 71,000 on the bike itself. Now, when you say skosh; are you placing the shop class term that my shop teacher Mr. Hoffman “Hoff” Amity high school ‘77 taught us?
    I think it’s the fine adjustment of tolerance between .000125 & .000150.
    Hoff was an awesome shop teacher; he taught us mig welding, 02/C2H2, anodizing, instilled confidence in shop common sense.
    My primary concern in what you’re doing is longevity and reliability.

The 124 is less work and they are getting crazy numbers out of those too. Their builds are legit, reliable, have a great power band, and are as easy to ride as stock. These for the everyday rider. With correct maintenance they preform like a stock engine. If you go over a 575 lift cam we recommend replacing lifters at the 15,000 mile mark. Most riders take three years to hair that mileage. We typically run the Ward 550 cam in these engines for riders looking for longevity.

      We sell a High Performance Extended Service Plan that’ll cover this build. It will also cover a failure if the factory 2 year warranty denies a claim. It piggybacks on top of the factory and is extended 1-3 years past the end of the H-D warranty depending on the option chosen.

    One basic question from someone who's not well versed with engine terminology : how do you actually measure the engine size when you say 131 ci or 143 ci?

    • @MoonshineHarley
      @MoonshineHarley  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bore and stoke size.
      131 4.313” bore 4.500” stroke
      135 4.375” bore 4.500” stroke

    So I have a 2021 Road Glide Special. I guess it weighs about 850 lbs. If I bumped it up to a 128 or a 131, how much more would it weigh? Also, would you be able to remove the governor on it? Right now I can’t go past 115 mph! That really pisses me off! If I knew it wouldn’t go past 115 miles an hour I probably would not have bought the bike!

    • @MoonshineHarley
      @MoonshineHarley  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The bike would weigh the same. It’s such a small difference on bore that you would feel it. We can remove speed limiter.
