Purely speculative, but I would posit that forefoot strikers benefit more from super foams, since you're loading all your weight/gravitational potential energy onto a smaller surface area and decompressing the same area upon toe off.
In contrast, when you load the heel, much of the decompression occurs as you're moving through the heel-to-toe cycle, which helps with transition but not so much with propulsion. Moreover, by the time you reach the forefoot area, you won't be able to load it with the same gravitational potential energy as you would had you landed directly on it upon first contact.

Treadmills flex. Thus, they are essentially soft. Similar to a “soft” (I think he/she meant anything synthetic rather than paved), I avoid high stack or too soft. E.g., Endo Speed 2, Hyperion Tempo

The camber of the road is very interesting. I can run with the Vaporfly V2 in cambered road without a problem.. But in a firm shoe like the 361 Flame ST it's so difficult...

Saucony Sinister not comfortable for wide foot, so disappointed, toes pinched, tapers too much. This was the shoe I was waiting for: Fastwitch 8 fit with super foam...didn’t even try running in them.

Question: what causes feet to go numb when running? I can’t run in my ASICS gel nimbus 25s because they make my feet go numb pretty quickly. I lose feeling in my feet after a few miles if the tongue/laces are too tight for sure like in my rebel v3 or Mach 5s but loosening my shoes solves that. I have no idea why I can’t run in my nimbus shoes.

I like that footstrike question. If most don’t offer much benefit to a forefoot striker, that saves the runner $200+ on a pair or multiple pairs trying to find out which works.

I find the Alphafly and Prime X are still very beneficial. I'm am intrigued by the Metaspeed Sky as Matt mentioned, but I've never seen them on sale. Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro would also be interesting, since it barely has a heel.

@@runnin3216 I found alphafly v1 great and the sky+ worked well. I’ve tried the wave rebellion pro and think they are actually better for heel-midfoot strikers.

Running trails is like having a shoe rotation; almost every stride is different. Come to the dark side😀
