  • Casey Stoner Shocks The MotoGP Community!
I hate Ducati dominance, said Casey Stoner. Okay, he didn’t exactly say it like that, but what he said was pretty close, and you’ll see it in this video. Casey has claimed that the beauty of the sport he loves is gone, and he blames Ducati for this. The Australian has also come for the MotoGP hierarchy for having weak rules they can change and has challenged them to do what is right for the sport. Will Stoner’s statement spark a revolution in MotoGP, or will it just be another statement that does nothing? Let’s find out. Shall we?

@superzero4250 Just to correct you there mate, the bike developed by Capirossi was pre-2007 in the 990 era, and the chassis should of suited him more than Stoner even when they went to 800cc, and how many Motogp World Championships did Capirossi win? Stoner received no updates during the 2007 season, but when Rossi rode the Ducati, he got 3 different bikes in the season and never won a race! Same for Pedrosa, if the bike was developed for him, why didn't he win a Championship and Stoner did? The fact is Stoner had the ability to ride around the deficits the bike had, where other riders needed the bike to be perfect or they were no where. This is what Stoner is alluding to. Aerodynamics and all the electronic aids should be scrapped except limited traction control. If you watched Motogp in the last few years, it's blatantly obvious MIchelin can't make a front tyre to cope with all the down force. As to the author of this video, it's "cocks" like you as to why Stoner retired.

What the hell. No subscribe from me, calling one of the greatest and most humble and reasonable riders a liar. Listen to him and marques. Just because the other riders cant compete with them without all rider aids, dosent mean they should have it there way. I want bikes moving and bucking like an angry bull.

The more it costs the harder it gets.. one in hundreds of thousands get the chance, this guy is a f wit.

Love Casey open and honest. Did see him talking to mcn this year and he is still suffering from illness.
Still remember when Rossi threw his toys out wanting Bridgestone tyres. As he was on Michelin and now we have single tyre supplier. As for Ducati bit like old F1 days small English f1 team came out with ideas banned but Ferrari got way with. Or rules changed to suit .

'He's a liar'!! No, you're asserting your opinion. But there is a difference between losing the passion to race and risk his life and the passion for the sport. He matured and invested in his family, meaning he had a lot more to lose racing. At the same time, motorsport is all he knows and is his life, particularly on 2 wheels, so the passion for it is still there. It is him I agree with, not you, MotoGP Today.

Totally agree with him, the last few seasons have been terrible. Get rid of all the aerodynamic devices and electronics. They’ve witnessed all the issues with F1 and copied them. Totally insane. World Superbikes is far better.

This is a business decision isn’t it. If the bikes weren’t faster and easier to ride they wouldn’t add the digital and aero. Simple great starts, few high sides. Doohan and Rossi rode 2 strokes that you rode.
Digital and aero is expensive so it will be bullshit like formula 1 soon

  • @stevefoote7451

The fact that the Ducati is allowed a 1000 rpm+ advantage over the other bikes probably has more to do with it than aerodynamic.
Valentino gone and Marquez no longer dominating are what killed Motogp. They should copy the superbike format and have 2 races at each venue.

He lost his passion for racing, not the sport itself. This doesn't make him a liar, it just makes you a knit picker desperate for views.

Stoner is not the best source for determining whaat is good for racing, since bikes developed based on his input have not fared very well. Both of Stoner’s titles came from machines developed by other pilots, Capirossi at Ducati for 2007, and Pedrosa at HRC for 2011…
Arguably the Desmosedici became a worse bike every year Ducati placed stock in his input after his title wining season. Notice how neither Ducati nor Honda want his advice, they’d rather listen to anyone else but him…
    🤔

Whoever made this video hates either Stoner or Aussies or both..a true farquit..even Rossi said he could have been as good as him and he also said he had no idea how stoner managed to ride the ducati so well it was such a piece of crap. Now i suppose ur gonna try to discredit the words of a 6 x champ too.. CUintheNT .

I love Casey, i think he is one of the greatest Moto GP rider to ever ride, but he need to understand that bikes need development and technology evolves, aero is one of them and Ducati have been grinding and working hard since their title in 2007. He also need to stop bitching, really MotoGP is expensive? But honda sells what, 45.000.000 bikes per year? They can afford it...The problem of Japanese bikes is not lack of money, but they way they think and are attached to tradition. Moto GP should not have rules to stop Ducati, the other ones are the ones that shoudl work hard to catch up Ducati.

Casey is so full of BS ... he should know more than most that a bike's technology is only as good as the rider that configures it (or his chief mechanic). By Casey's definition the motorcycles of the 1940's should never evolve because it's all about the rider?? Can you see how hilarious MotoGP would be today if they were forced to ride on 1940's motorcycle tech. Casey is just pissed at everyone because he wasn't of sufficient health to stay in MotoGP.
