To clarify, we use low speeds between friends to get a good understanding of what is pushing and pulling. This can and should be applied at maximum speeds during combat.
This technique is used to help mitigate constantly chasing the opponent and letting them come towards you before you decided to close the gap further and stick to them.

Looks like a good way to trick the kiters into pushing and actually tighten up the fight.

Your work has taken me from an absolutely terrible pilot to merely a poor one. Effort and repetition will have to do the rest.
Understanding what to do, when to do it, along with the how and why maneuvers are performed has really helped.
    Thank you for these videos.

You’ve mentioned a few times people who are good kb/m players, any of them have channels you recommend? Kb/m player here I just think it’s cool to see how they are playing.

I definitely appreciate the movement tips. Being able to move dictates what the dogfight with someone will be like, but a lot of the time I was sitting here watching you struggle to maintain your aim on him and all I could think was: "This just looks like someone is trying to shoe-horn fixed weapons in to a fight that would have already been over if they just used auto-gimbal". Granted, yada yada, we all know AG isn't super accurate all of the time, but at those distances? It'd seem like it would up the difference between the Arrow's greater agility over the Gladius.
All that said, it still feels a bit silly showing of maneuvering tips when a majority of people do not dogfight at 200scm. Not even double that, or triple that. Theres showing us realistic fight, and then theres showing us combat in a vacuum and that's what this is. This is exactly why a lot of PU players roll their eyes at AC players. They don't comprehend how the two experiences translate.
A real example would go further for teaching someone to mimic and memorize your lessons if it's actually comparable to their experience.

I'm not trying to apply damage it's not the point. When I want to apply damage I do.
The limited speed is used as a teaching tool so you can practice without it getting out of control. The final battle is demonstrated at full speed. There are a lot of aspects to combat, sometimes aim is not the answer, and sometimes it is.

@@JohnathanWinters Lemmi see if I can better articulate what I was thinking when I wrote that:
Maneuvering is key to a lot of things, but the end goal to everything you're showing here, is to get the upper hand on the target and the goal with the target is to kill them so that's the lense PU players will be consuming this video through. Only AC players fight like this which is a significant minority of the playerbase so right now I doubt people who play PU are finding this very uselful as it's not indicative of "real" gameplay (Their PU experiences). That was my point.
People pick things up better when it corresponds to their own experiences so that they can easily apply it. Showing movements at 50-80scm and then applying it at 300scm may feel like it's an effective teaching method, but nobody but AC Andy's fly at 300scm. It's incredibly effective to do, but you're creating each of these videos under the assumption that someone knows everything you've already talked about. Flying slow is a fundamental requirement for effective dogfighting.
I'm obviously reacting to this video based on the current environment of the game. It'll probably age better once Master Modes is actually implemented and you're essentially forced to fly slower but this isn't really an effective way of teaching anyone if they've already created bad habits (Which is most of the playerbase).
Dunno, if I had any feedback at all it'd be to point out the importance of low combat speeds and reiterate on that repeatedly to really drive the whole concept home. Basically everything you showed here, is only possible because you were flying the speeds you're supposed to be flying. People don't do that though. People fly faster, which leads to jousting, which leads to nothing happening.
I genuinely love your videos. I share them often just as I do A1's, but you oft leave out the reason *why* you fly slow. You gotta tell them why it matters otherwise they won't do it. Even if you'd made a video on it, you can't guarantee that everyone will watch it. It should be a consistent reminder. Always do X. Doing X allows you to do Y. Not doing X leads to Z, and Z is bad.

@@Tazytots I get ya, and I think you're right about 1 crucial thing that I forgot, which is mentioning why we use low speeds. I'll pin it.
