there is a little diffrence between both alternatives this one has a orange light, the other one is blue so depends of your preference on that your better choice💡:)
You seem pretty good at mods. Had you considered modding an SKX with a VH31 movement? There seems to be some interest across the internet for this. Thanks.
The SKMEI 2056 and 1412 are an excellent alternative to the F91W and they have a much nicer back light. I have a couple of 2056 and the functionality of the module is nearly identical!
@goodnota they vary. I have 8 SKMEIs, and one is the most accurate watch I own, half a second a month. Others, well, not as good but comparable to Casio DW5600E.
@@cunawarit I've found the same thing. I've only got three Skmei watches but one of them is as accurate as my Casios and the other less accurate two are still less than a minute a month. Not super accurate for a digital but nothing that I'm going to worry about, especially for the price.
@@SamsWatchReview there are backlight mods that don't require soldering! Just installing a backlight spreader and changing the paper. Took me 15 minutes!
@@SamsWatchReview I had a generic spring bar kit from Amazon in my watch tool box from and the little copper spring in there worked perfectly, just like in your video. Thank you! I now have the F91W that Casio should have made themselves. :)
That can also work, but will deform/stretch out the spring. I'm planning to reinstall the module back into the A700 in the future, so I want the springs to remain at their original length :)
This time I have to disagree with you Bro... For me, every watch has it's unique personality just like a person. A module is a soul for the watch, it's what's make the watch is unique. No heart feeling. Just want to share my opinion. 😅
Really enjoyed this - thanks for showing us the swap!
Thank you for watching :)
I've seen people modded their f91 to have two led instead of one, but this mod is great if u have two a700
The F-105 is only a little thicker than the 91 and has an EL backlight (i.e indiglow). Around the same price too.

Not that good, trust me :D
But thanks for sharing anyway, sounds interesting to try
@SamsWatchReview Oh go on give it a go! I'd do it myself if it wasn't for this shrapnel I picked up in 'Nam. 👌
Pronun lo ga bisa bohong sih bro, mantap lah. Btw gw juga baru mulai belajar mod f91 😂
Ya gimana lagi, mau dilatih kaya apa, ketemu nasi uduk semur jengkol, ya reset lagi ahahaha.
@@SamsWatchReview bisa modifin punya saya mas? minta nowa nya mas
Now tempted to do same. The problem is that the A700 is not mine, it's my wife watch 😅😅
That's a very different condition :D
@@SamsWatchReview very much 🤣
If she’s had it for a while, I think she’ll appreciate a brand new one while you use the old parts to mod it
What is the mod sir at 1:17 ?
Hi, that's an NFC mod, our video here th-cam.com/video/aGn2_zP8GI8/w-d-xo.html
@@SamsWatchReview thank you so much!!!!
A700 module gonna work with a158/a159?
Never tried it, but considering the module is similar to the f91w, then it's highly possible.
Very nice 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you! Cheers!

how's the accuracy on those ?
was looking at getting one of these and sticking the casio faceplate on

I'd just keep the A700 and sell F91w. I used to have an F91w and don't miss it at all since I bought the A700.
Interesting video! Why not just do the backlight mod for the f91w?
I happen to have A700 rarely worn, and the most important reason is that my soldering skill is not the best :D
@@SamsWatchReview there are backlight mods that don't require soldering! Just installing a backlight spreader and changing the paper. Took me 15 minutes!
Do you happen to recall what size spring bar you sacrificed for the spring?
I forgot the length, but it's the slim/small generic spring bar, not the thicker one

@@TheScalawag awesome, congratulations!
Light 🚨 is always an issue 😂
Why didn't you simply stretch the original spring ?

will the A168 module fit in a F91w case?
Frankly, I haven't tried. But looks like it's going to be too thick for the case :)
Excellent...
Thank you:)
Can you do the same with the Casio W59 ? Thank you
Could be, but sorry, I plan to keep my W59 as original as possible :D
why do you need two watches to make one good one
Some people love the f91 aesthetic but really need an upgrade for the backlight. But if it's not for you, then it's not for you :)
can you change bigger battery
Sorry but I don't know how to do that modification :)
how to order?
Sorry, not for sale :)
You can order the A700W from the Casio dealer in your area to try the mod.
Kok nggak diganti sama mesinnya A168 aja min? Kan lampunya jauh lebih bagus A168
modulnya ketebalan itu kalau dipindahin ke f91
Iya, terima kasih sudah bantu jawab :)
I wonder if you couldn't have just switched the case backs too.
Haven't tried that, but the thickness is mainly from the case, not the case back profile :)
@@SamsWatchReview I meant because then you might not have needed to make a longer spring to reach the speaker on the case back. 😬
man, so I could fix both the light and get rid of that annoying buzzer sound? coool
Is it still waterproof after moded?
Yes, as long as the installation of the seal and back cover is correct
Is it still water resistant
yes, it is
I would rather keep the a700 and ditch the f91.
I would agree but still good to know
What tools are you using?
wire cutter

Fair enough, there are many point of view and I can understand yours very well. Have a great day :)
are u indonesian? ur accent sound very familiar😅
Iyap :)
All this fuss about the F91 w back light....it is what it is.
أنا مشترك جديد✌️🇮🇶
Shukran, welcome aboard :)
@SamsWatchReview على الرحب 🌹
better to just buy an F105 :)
