In today's episode I replace the after market car stereo with an OEM Honda cassette radio CD player that was correct for this model car. I remove a lot of un-necessary wiring, I tidy up the wiring harness. I remove and replace the console, shift panel, drivers seat and try to film it as beautifully as I can using my old iPhone. I also replace 5 pieces of interior trim that had an after market carbon fibre pattern hydro dip installed by a previous owner. It didn't match the original Honda CF print pattern and it should not be CF print on these parts anyway. OEM FTW on this classic Japanese car. The Honda Acura Integra DC2 Type R needs to be preserved and enjoyed as the classic it is now know as. If you enjoy this type of video let me know in the comments.

I'm more of a fan of the double din OEM blank cover Honda installed in the Japanese Integra type R, but this is worlds better then what was in the car before.

I bet that part is no longer available but I imagine it would look super clean. Yes the aftermarket car stereo looked really bad. Do you know it’s part number?

Another job well done. Love your attention to detail when filing the solder prior to tapeing. You can work on my cars anytime

Thanks Alex. I hope you watched it thru your Home Theatre. Good audio makes a huge difference to this one. It needs bass. It sounds so bad thru my laptop speakers

Good work, she's looking clean and period correct👌. My 96 spec came with the black recaros that matched the back seats (factory). However, I feel that it needs the iconic red sr3 recaros😊. Question- I see you have type r banging in the centre concole. My one says type r 98 spec. I wonder if there is one similar for 96 spec?

Awesome job! My dc2r has a OEM carbon look passenger side air vent... Hmmmm I wonder if it's just mine. Also where did you source your head unit from? I've been looking for an OEM dc2 head unit for a long time... Cheers

Is your car Australian Delivered? I'm not sure but I think LHD cars had C/F on the LH side of the car and RHD cars had the C/F on the RH side only. Unless your car has been modified with parts from the "Type Rx" it does have it on both sides apparently. There's been a few Type Rx dismantled at Wreckers in Melbourne (Red Sun Performance) so maybe your parts came from there??? Can you send me a photo? thru Instagram maybe? I got my OEM DC2 head unit from a mate here in Canberra. I need another one but I can't find any either. cheers
