Just got mine. Hinge pin setup is a lot better. Straight out of the box 39 mph 2s. 50 mph 3s. No issues on 3s. Ran it in the grass for a while motor got up to 175 esc 117. Loads of fun.
I think it's a great little car, I slammed mine , got some 1/10 touring car wheels and slapped the KAMTEC CITROEN SAXO body on it that fits perfectly ,now it's a great little rally/touring/drift car . Great vid 👍
Make a video! I would really like to see it also as I'm not to much of a fan of the looks of out the box. But your modifications might make me want one even more. I have a 3s arrma typhoon that I switched body mounts and got a big rock painted body. Not to big of fan of the buggy look. Truggys, trucks ,and cars are my favorites.
This came out just after I upgraded the 124019. added front spoiler, bigger wider wing in the rear,foam tires, 4300KV brushless upgrade kit. Haven't tested it yet for speed but it does pirouette on one rear tire when i punch it. "scary" Great review. Wish I had a track like that near me.

@@TheRcKiwis The differentials are absolutly free in stock, fill the front with silicone oil with a viscosity of about 5-7k, and in the rear about 3k. The handling will be much better.

Love your work. I'm an old school but have been doing RC for 44 years!! Nice work with showing performance around a track, everyone else seems to just do speed runs. I've done 160kmh+ speed runs and it takes a lot more than power. A REAL speedrun is 5 laps around a cycling velodrome and your 2 fastest CONSECUTIVE laps in both directions are averaged. When you do that at 185km/h THEN it's fast. RC10L with extreme mods. You guys do real world and I SO love your track. these cars are seriously FUN !!! Not at Associated or Losi level but I've got a few for friends to have a bash. I've got a few acres and want build a track, I've access to earthmoving and have set up clubs previously. I'd like to run a competition for the best design and award a prize for the best track design. Would you like to be a contributor? Again, I love your stuff, if your ever coming over for the Bathurst 1000 or the 12hr buzz me I'm a scrutineer and will make sure you have tickets. I must show you an insane RC10T with a Ukraine body and a totally impossible drive train. A huge SCT engine and 120A ESC in a 2WD car thats 500gms lighter than a 144001. It's almost undriveable. I switched my transmitter and the cogging stopped entirely, I managed to get 90mph out of it on 3s but the road I had was also freshly built and only maybe three months old so it was in peak condition
So are the steering and throttle issues you experienced specific to this upgrade model or maybe just a dodgy TX unit? Have you managed to try another known good TX?

This car seems to have a few issues, cogging, radio control distance being a problem, delay between inputs. Its a shame because I loved the previous model. All issues that can be resolved by the manufacturer. I think I will wait on this one.
What no reviews mention is that the 144001 is 95 euro and this one is 140 (same price as the eachine eat14 BTW). So for me the real question should be not if this one is better (of course it is) but if this is so much better as to be worth the price difference!
Did you guys buy this model? I see a lot of channels saying these are hyped up but where are people hyping them up, forums? Seems like a lot of Chinese companies are sending channels stuff to review. Looks like it's almost impossible to drive quickly, because of the weird throttle.
I'm 18 months into a converted to brushless 144 and 019 still on original diffs center shaft spur and pinion they're tuff little nuggets with a few upgrades , upgraded shock towers and center brace with ally hubs and they're perfect.
Guys, do you think that ESC is solid component long term? like will it handle a 4000+ Kv motor? ill stay on 2s but wondering if it'll cope ? would you guys test out a bigger motor with those same electronics (or is that too much to ask hehe) ❤
We wouldnt know as we've only driven it stock so far, will see how we go in the future but we noramlly do revisit after awhile for a more long term review. 🍻
I don't get how everyone else can abuse these so much but when I drive mine if I even bump a curb at like 1/3 throttle the whole steering assembly and wheel explode.

The 1/10 scale brushless should be awesome! My buggest issue with this and the eat14 is the cogging... we are taking them out again for a comparison and ive put oil their diffs so will be interesting to see how they handle now! 🍻

I know in the grand scheme of RC cars that these are cheap and maybe disposable but AU$200 for something that has issues straight out of box isn’t ideal. I shouldn’t be looking at articles on how to swap to smaller cogs to prevent cogging before I’ve even bought one 😂

Noticed the big gap between body and frame towards the end of the video and remembered some other reviewers mentioning that motor wires and esc fan were lifting the body on right side. Glad to hear it is not a problem on all of them and the gap on yours is just a result of all the fun you were having with it.
May you check if the drive shaft stiffer than the previous model? My 124019 sounds weird after slow speed frontal crash. I found out the drive shaft is causing the weird sound. The chasis top deck/brace has also bent a little bit. I have a concern about the 124017 top deck since it have a cutout to fit the new components

I already order 3s battery special for 124017' s battery tray and waiting for stock of buggy itself on banggood. 60A esc, theoretically, can be successfully used with 3s and such a small motor, but I have doubts. Really? It looks good but I still think the 124019 is the better car for the price. You can easily upgrade the electrics to your liking for the price difference.
124019 is $113, the 124017 is $148. Please tell me how you can "easily" replace the esc, receiver, and upgrade to a brushless motor all for $35? The 2845 brushless motor they use ALONE costs $35.

How can a cheap RC from China be the best RC car yet? There are so many more out there that are better quality. The body does not even fit on this correctly without adjusting the ESC and receiver.

Could you check if the new version can bind with the transmitter from the brushed version? Perhaps there will be "Upgrade kits" for 124018/124019.

I put a dynamite tazer twin in my 124019. I get 41mph on 2s and stock gearing. I also put that in my 124018.

one of the front and rear driveshafts have a slight bend in them after the bashing session, but only very slight.. 🍻
