Strangly, theres only 2 gins that I occasionally drink chilled from the freezer, straight up 'neat'...Tanqueray and The Botanist. The two are vastly different in their taste profiles and botanical lists; 4 to 22. But are the only ones I can drink straight. For mixed drinks however, Plymouth, Gunpowder, and Beefeater get the nod.
It's funny how that works sometimes. I have several recipes for fancy Paloma cocktails, and my favorites are the 7 ingredient super fancy one and the dead basic grapefruit soda and tequila.
I'd be interested in trying that. I'm far from an expert on gin, but it's a spirit I enjoy
Am I right that you're in the Boston area? Hit my website and send me a message if you want to be on the show and taste a bottle some time!
Interesting! Thanks!
