As far as games that I have quit (for now), I would say: Xenoblade Chronicles 2- I was trying to level up, but I would always get defeated by monsters who were more powerful. Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War - This game is on the Japanese Nintendo Switch Online via the Super Famicom app. While the turn-based strategy is manageable, the overall pacing is really slow. The dialog is also entirely in Japanese, which makes it difficult to understand the plot if you don't know much of the language. Shin Megami Tensei II - Another game that is avaliable on the Japanese NSO Super Famicom app, I quit this game not because of the language barrier, but because I got tired of getting my butt kicked over and over by the second demon boss guardian. None of the attacks I used seemed to work. I even tried level grinding... and still lost. Breath of Fire 1 and 2- Do you like JRPGs with ridiculously high enemy encounter rates? No? Neither do I. Earthbound Beginnings- Refer to Breath of Fire 1 and 2. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - The good news? There's so much to do. The bad news? There's so much to do. It's the kind of game where you have to pick it up, stop, plan ahead, and pick it up again after a long period of time. I think the game is great, but you have to know what you're doing to master combat against enemies, managing weapons when they break, and surviving the elements. And yes, I know that Tears of the Kingdom is harder.
Wow, those are some excellent titles but some very valid reasons for calling it quits. You actually reminded me that I quit a Shin Megami Tensei game not too long ago. I've always been interested in Breath of Fire... but maybe not so much anymore haha. Awesome input, and great comment. Thanks for watching!

I got Viewtiful Joe when it came out on the GameCube 20 years ago and got stuck and quit as well. It was a cool game but frustrating. I think I’ve left more games unfinished than finished. Big ones I can think of are Kingdom Hearts 2, Shadow of Mordor, Fire Emblem Three Houses, various other JRPG’s that I got overwhelmed with.
I recently quit frog island because there was no guidance on what to do!! It was very frustrating and I don't want to play a game where I have to Google every step
Sonic Rush and Sonic Rush Adventure I never completed one quit. Both on the last boss. Such good games on the DS but the goofy one hit kills bummed me out
Oh man, the final boss?! What a bummer... that happened to me with Final Fantasy X... I ended up quitting cuz I just couldn't beat him. Thanks for watching buddy.
I can understand for sure. TH-cam being the top choice makes sense, wait... [I can only joke atm, because there are almost too many games to name on my part]

Oh my goodness!!! MALARIA!!!??? Jeez that's no joke. I'm glad you are okay!! Kudos to you for beating Demon Gaze! That darn difficulty spiked so much for me. I don't think I've heard of Karateka! I'm going to look it up now. Thanks for watching!
@@TigerChainsawVideoGames Yeah! I had got Malaria a couple of times. Runs in the territory since it's monsoon (rainy) climate. Demon Gaze did have a few outstanding moments and plot twists, but the difficulty threshold suddenly went up after a while....and so did my dragon waifu landlord's rent 😅 The final boss was a cheese fest 🙄 Karateka is a classic game and pretty decent in it's own right for the time. But I was more in tune to Yie Air Kung Fu's quick movement bursts, Karateka's combat felt like turning an oil tanker in comparison 😅 and I have finished WAAAAAAAAAY more terrible games like Ride to Hell Retribution 1% (I deserve a medal for that 😅🥇) Also Viewtiful Joe has a Pikmin like game called Wonderful 101....try that out, it's quite cool 😎👍🔥
Im thinking of quitting contra 4 om the ds.I got all the achievements on the anniversaru collection but that game is just designed way off to my liking. First issue the use of a dual screen gimmick that gives you a huge gap of a blindspot in the middle, on a very action oriented game that is just bad choice. Another mechanic i hate is the respawn invincibility is so short tjat when you respawn you just die on the same spot that youre just trying to get out of just feels so cheap. I managed to reach stage 4 on normal but those damn missiles on the rocket that youre trying to navigate just got me thinking its just so cheap.
I hate when I respawn and then immediately get killed. The blindspot would suck. I really enjoyed Contra, Super C, and Operation C so I'd love to check out Contra 4. Thanks for watching!
Your list is fascinating in that you don't even technically dislike any of these games but you couldn't get yourself to beat them. Out of all the ones I finished, it would be Viewtiful Joe but I'm not sure if I can proudly say I beat that one since I used emulator save states like no tomorrow, the game is really hard without them since the game gives you limited continues and that is an instant way to piss me off. I like the combat and the game is pretty unique even to this day, so I wanted to get to the end. There is also a really nasty boss rush late game and VJ2 has the same problems. Riftbreaker was one game I actually bought but not sure if I want to play, I thought it was a twin stick shooter but the base building was light but to hear it's also an RTS game? Count me out. I Ninja is another one, I heard it was a hidden gem for a while and wanted to play but like so many platformers especially those that give you unlimited continues, you can't get through the game just by beating the levels, you also have to do the "side stuff" which pisses me off every time especially when the platformer isn't even exploration based. Why do these games do this? It's like playing Doom 1993 and you have to find secrets to progress through the level. I'm playing Astro Bot right now and that can be beat in 5-6 hours but the game extends it's length by forcing you to collect all the bots in a level. I feel like I would love platformers as love as shooters if they all just let get through the game by beating the levels and gave you unlimited continues, but it seems not all of them do it.
I would definitely stay away from The Riftbreaker, it's a fairly hardcore RTS. I also hate when platformers have collectathons or side quests that don't bring any value to the game. Great point with Doom haha. Thanks for watching and leaving a great comment.
@@TigerChainsawVideoGames I don't mind collecthathons if the game makes it clear from the start that you should collect to progress all though I still would like to have gameplay benefits to collecting instead of locking off level progression. When stage be stage linear platformers do it, I'm like, "why, I just want to focus on surviving and getting to the end of a stage". No game pissed me off with this as much as Grapple Dog, that game was challenging but you also need to collect things to unlock more levels in the story path and I'm like, "I'm out".
Well I understand I'm too a type of gamer when you start a game you have to finish, but when I see most of this game I wouldn't play it because it's not part of my taste playing, but if there is a game I would definitely quit is the scariest game like Silent Hill, Amnesia, because I don't dare to play this game, and I hate puzzles
Unlimited SaGa. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Looking forward to a remake that makes it less ridiculous to play... It's the most beautifully polished turd of a game I've ever seen.
@@TigerChainsawVideoGames It's the highly RNG-based gameplay that got me. Even aside from that, it was overly complicated on purpose. Squeenix wanted it to be a 'challenging' RPG, but it just ended up being frustrating.
Man Eater looked like a game that would fizzle out for me quick lol. for me I'm nearing quitting Trek to Yomi. Presentation is great but combat is just kinda dull lol
Oh no, I just added Trek to Yomi in my collection haha. ManEater had a cool concept, just the gameplay got boring after awhile. Thanks for watching buddy!

You know, I usually skip videos utilizing obvious click bait, so you're lucky you're as cute as you are... Sorry VJ wasn't doing it for you. The original Shenmue lost me when I made it to the "work" part of the game; like, nope, I literally do that crap IRL, so no thanks. Sense is one I was tempted on for the same reasons as you, but seems I gave it a good miss; same with Carrier as I've long been curious about it. Maneater was one I started, got distracted and just never returned to, so it clearly didn't have me in its...jaws... Sorry to hear about i-Ninja though but I 100% get where you're coming from. And nearly the same on OP--I put in close to 60 hours and just couldn't anymore, and I was so, so, SO looking forward to that game as every bit of it seemed like a return to form for my younger days of gaming...
I figured I can do a click bait video once every three years haha! LOL I can picture you getting annoyed with Shenmue and having to work. Sense is... well... I love the cover but skip it. For me its all those PS story driven action adventure games. Not to say they are bad games, but i feel they are just shoving to much story in my face. Like im watching a movie, im here to play a game not watch a movie lol. Thats why i like games like elden ring, just playing the game you get only little bits of the story. Its not forced on you. If you want to discover more, you can choose to do so yourself either a little bit or you can do a full dive. Its kind of funny, because for some thats why they dont like souls games lol. They have no idea whats going on. But for me i have no idea whats going on in story driven games because i always skip cutscenes then complain i dont know whats going on later.

I think I’ve left more games unfinished than finished. Big ones I can think of are Kingdom Hearts 2, Shadow of Mordor, Fire Emblem Three Houses, various other JRPG’s that I got overwhelmed with.
I loved the vibes of Viewtiful Joe and like you said, it's a cool game. It was just too tough for me to get into. Thanks for watching!
I recently quit frog island because there was no guidance on what to do!! It was very frustrating and I don't want to play a game where I have to Google every step
I remember they spoke a made up language too! You have too much pride, I will google a problem in a game if I have one haha.
Last game I quit was City of Brass. There was a glitch that sent me back to the beginning and I just lost it😫😠
Glitches are the worst!! I haven't heard of City of Brass though. Thanks for watching!
I could never Quit you!
Prove it 🫣
Phew haha!!! Relieved you’re very much here to stay mate 😊
Absolutely buddy! I’m not going anywhere 🤙🏻
Haha, quitting is a habit I need to break! Thanks for watching Viddy.
I am SOOOOOOO relieved to hear that was a joke 😂😂🩵 I completed Demon Gaze when I had malaria 😅 I do recommend Demon Gaze II though, a fee returning characters are there too...
One game which I dropped and never picked up again was......Karateka 😅 The controls were just too much for me
Oh my goodness!!!
Demon Gaze did have a few outstanding moments and plot twists, but the difficulty threshold suddenly went up after a while....and so did my dragon waifu landlord's rent 😅 The final boss was a cheese fest 🙄
Karateka is a classic game and pretty decent in it's own right for the time. But I was more in tune to Yie Air Kung Fu's quick movement bursts, Karateka's combat felt like turning an oil tanker in comparison 😅 and I have finished WAAAAAAAAAY more terrible games like Ride to Hell Retribution 1% (I deserve a medal for that 😅🥇)
Also Viewtiful Joe has a Pikmin like game called Wonderful 101....try that out, it's quite cool 😎👍🔥
@@thebigbridge3040 I want to play the Wonderful 101 soooo bad! I’ve been close to buying it a few times. Remind me again, where are you located?
@@TigerChainsawVideoGames It's a lovely game 😁🩵 I think I saw one available at Play Asia.
Oh, I live in rainy 'ol Mumbai, India.
@@thebigbridge3040 man I was way off! I thought you either lived in San Francisco, California or Thailand!
Does this mean you’ll still be at next year’s MGC?
I sure will be! Come say hi 🤙🏻
@@TigerChainsawVideoGames
I don't mind collecthathons if the game makes it clear from the start that you should collect to progress all though I still would like to have gameplay benefits to collecting instead of locking off level progression.
Silent Hill is one I want to try... I do like scary games but those puzzles can be tough like you said! Thanks for watching pal!
Unlimited SaGa. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Looking forward to a remake that makes it less ridiculous to play... It's the most beautifully polished turd of a game I've ever seen.
Oh man that one is in my backlog! I never hear much about it so I’m curious to see why it sucked so much. Thanks for watching!
@@TigerChainsawVideoGames It's the highly RNG-based gameplay that got me. Even aside from that, it was overly complicated on purpose. Squeenix wanted it to be a 'challenging' RPG, but it just ended up being frustrating.
Hades and No Rest for the Wicked were the games that I just finally tap me out!
Hmm I don't think I've heard of No Rest for the Wicked! I'll have to check it out. Thanks for watching and dropping a comment.
Great video!
Thanks for watching and dropping a comment!
Dang not Octopath. I didn't play the first one, but the second one was fantastic. I completed it 100%.
I'd love to play the second Octopath sometime. I'll have to give the first one another shot. Thanks for watching!
You little rascal. That click bait thumbnail completely caught me out 😂
Hehe I couldn’t help myself buddy 🤭
I quit GTA online, i just couldn't play anymore after 10 years.
10 years is a long time to dedicate to a game! You gave it a good run. Thanks for watching!
Bound by Flame looked more like Dragon's Dogma than a soulslike.
I haven't played Dragon's Dogma, but I should. Bound By Flame was.... interesting haha.
I quit Soldier of Fortune on the PS3 because I didn't like it's game mechanics. I quit Ace Combat 7 on the PS4 because it's not like a flight simulator. And I quit Watchdogs: Legion because it was just boring and the story just wasn't interesting.
WatchDogs: Legion was one I thought looked boring too... I haven't played it but I'll have to stay away from it with your input. Thanks for watching!
wow that was a massive click bait, and now you are officially a professional youtuber! 🤣
Haha yes I have achieved the dream finally LOL. Thanks for watching!
I quit games that "need" a walkthrough, main one was majora's mask phenomenal game though the other was scorn lmaoooo
Yeah if it wasn't for walkthroughs there's no way I'd beat certain games... looking at you Final Fantasy I-IV. Thanks for watching!
Carrier is super cool I just couldn't deal with the backtracking. I'm glad you understand the I-Ninja issue! UGH you gave up on Octopath traveller too?? Thanks for watching buddy.
Jesus mate as a fellow master system nut my heart skipped a beat then when i Read that title 😂
Haha, well thank you! I love the SMS community and have met some great gamers through it. I'm not going anywhere and in fact I have some more SMS videos coming out soon. Thanks for watching buddy!
i just quit killzone was playing on my crt tv and some areas are just pitch black dark
Oh man you were living the good life with Killzone and a CRT! Bummer about the pitch black areas. Thanks for watching.
I've heard such amazing things about Elden Ring... I really should play it sometime soon. Thanks for the awesome comment and for watching.
I quit Octopath Traveller, too. Lol
Seems like a lot of other people did too in the comments haha we should start a club.
No wonder you ignored my Polo!
Teehee 🤭
u scared me for a moment.
I’m not going anywhere buddy! 😤
