I've been so stoked for this review since you teased it's coming! The skit--HA!!! Oh geez, I almost never replay a game I've already gone through, but you're making me want to replay Wet! The soundtrack really spoke to me for how it went along with the action and aesthetic of the game; it was a good pairing IMO. Overall, I always thought Rubi was an endearing character; fun and badass, plus she loves her whiskey! The training bits definitely felt more filler than flair. I too was shocked by the final battle--like wait, what? That's it? Weird... For the record, Lady Laci LOVES sexy female characters because she says it's no different than guys liking to play as uber-jacked muscleheads; games are about fantasy and she's got a great point.

I have Star Renegades, and yes it's a great game that's always one save away from crashing on you. Even though it was always trying to crash on me, the worst part is the RNG. So many times I would get bad character choices or just bad equipment choices that just ruin your run. What I do love about the game is just how incredibly hard the battles are, and the boss fights take that hardness to a whole nother level.

I walk about all day looking like and surrounded by average person. Keep my games sexy 👍 I'll get to Wet eventually, and I like like the idea of a suoer easy final boss 😂😂

Lol at your skit! But in all seriousness, Rubi definitely looks like a badass character. I played the first level of this game after finally picking it up on PS3 last year (per your recommendation), and have to say, it’s one I definitely want to sit down and play through entirely. Just pure, simple fun. Couldn’t agree more about the current climate of female characters in games currently, but there are still a few that look aesthetically awesome and are genuinely cool (like Eve from Stellar Blade, and Bayonetta). Good review man!

I miss games like Wet. I'd recommend checking out Wanted Dead on PS5, Xbox Series X, or Steam. That was a fun throwback to games like Wet and Ninja Gaiden.

It's coming back, my dude. The current progressive devs can only lose hundreds of millions per title for so long before shareholders notice. Eastern devs are making games with attractive leads and they're the only ones selling any games.

I personality enjoyed this more than Zelda. Fighting is more enjoyable. In Zelda I feel like such a wimp dying over the smallest hits

Awesome list! I like that you have something different than the average hidden gems vids! Viktor Vran is a must play, especially with the Motorhead edition! Any excuses to talk about Mad Max is a good one in my opinion! Great video and keep up the good work!

Nice list! Is it me or Ghost and Goblins seems a bit sluggish? Maybe it's just me getting old and not remembering the Nintendo version as well as I thought lol! You would have told me that Castle of Illusion is a Genesis game and I would have believed you! That game's graphics looks surprisingly good for a SMS game! Great video and keep up the good work!

Astebreed is one I have physically, and agree, is an absolute hidden gem! A Hat in Time always looked cool, and I’ll need to get that one still. Code Vein is one I know you’ve told me I need to play, and looks sweet! Sakura Wars also looks like a lot of fun, and not what I expected mechanically. Fist of the North Star is another I’ve been interested in, as the gameplay looks right up my alley (like the Yakuza series that I still want to play). Great list of hidden gems, TC!

WonderBoy 3 was 16-bit level. Great game no doubt. But Wonderboy 2 (Monsterland) is still my favorite 8-bit video game😊

My PSP played A LOT of Hot Shots Pinball, A Space Shooter for 2 bucks and Mega Man Powered Up. Pinball is very cool as you want the lowest score possible, space shooter is a full experience that has no right to be this cheap and Powered Up lets you play as the boss robots.

Absolute excellent choices here tiger! Prey and sakura wars are def underrated gems but fist of the north star is a series i really love and i am so glad to see it get the love it deserves😊

Star Renegade is such a cool and unique choice 😊❤ I do have it on the Switch too! My 5 PS4 (non exclusive) hidden gem picks are : Tearaway (beautiful & creative🎉) Guacamelee! (Mexican mayham🎉 Very colourful) Gravity Rush (often overlooked beauty, Japan Studio at its finest, and the PSVita's first success game) Outer Wilds (highly recommended...and a bit philosophical too 🪐⭐️) Arise : A Simple Story (if you like an emotional tale like Brothers 🥹🌻)

Nice video, the hat game looks like it could be fun, I like the colorful atmosphere in it. Brothers could be fun too but hopefully it's much cheaper now. It isn't worth $60 for 4 hours 😡

I do love splurging a little after you start earning some money :-D Astebreed does have a confusing title. No idea how it should be pronounced, haha. Does look like a fun shmup! 2:22 I own this on Steam and have it on my "short list" of about 100 games to do next, lol. I'll get to it eventually! 3:36 I hadn't heard of Victor Vran, but it looks like a very solid Dungeon Crawler. I tend to not like single-player dungeon crawlers that much, but if this does shared screen or online mode, that'd be sweet 4:50 oh nice! I do like the look of Star Renegade. Awesome retro vibes! 5:58 Prey is so awesome! I love this game. I didn't beat it though (as I was playing it in Utah, and then the move to Oklahoma derailed me). I love the story so much though! I could see the previous-but-unrelated "Prey" game confusing people 7:36 I like the feel of a souls/borne game, but I rarely choose them as they are so difficult and time consuming. I like the world vibes though. 9:26 excellent art on this one. I do tend to avoid dating sims, but only because I've found them tedious, so as long as the gameplay is good I'm not opposed to it 10:53 Mad Max is another one on my "short list" lol 11:58 oh cool!
