Unpopular Opinion: If you're ranking is not based particular on the current Form... Zaha should be higher. This man carried a whole Premier League teams attack since 7 years! I'm not a palace fan, but it's incredible what a big point he is for them.
in terms of contributions to club - definitely. Zaha should be way higher
all his ranking lists are very inconsistent, in that, I cannot tell whether he ranks based on current form or talent or contribution or whatever
And even when he does mention it at the start, he contradicts himself later when he justifies a certain player's ranking
In terms of importance to their respective teams then vvd, kane and zaha would top it

Firstly, I have ward prowse over zouma. Secondly, I have Vardy over aubameyang by a mile. And thirdly, based on current form which even tho isn’t the only factor is still a major one, there is no way Harry Kane is above van dijk and Ronaldo
And on current form De Bruyne wouldn't be there either. I think Grealish's addition has affected how City build play and they don't play to De Bruyne's strengths anymore. Also, Auba has not really been on form either, so agree about Vardy above him.

Man is mad to think Harry Kane has ever been better than Ronaldo at any stage of his career. Not even last season, which was one of Kane's best seasons, was he better than Ronaldo.
Auba is a better footballer than Vardy. Auba’s prime is clear of Vardy’s but I’d on other factors it would be Vardy.
Kane is so far above CR7, there isn't even a rational discussion to be had about it.
You could make a good case for Van Dijk being better. That'd be a good conversation that'd be as much about their positions as the guys themselves. Saying Ronaldo is better though, is completely laughable. Honestly, IDK WTF Alfie is doing saying that the two are comparable.

Based on current form he shouldn't even make top 10 but since that's not the only criteria here and we also use the playing abilities I think he should make atleast top 8

Purely down to Sky 6 bias
Even though I'm a big fan of Kevin Debruyne, I didn't hope to see him in first. Having said that, he is indeed a highly inteligent player. Kompany said KDB is like a computer on the field, no second guesses, no undecisiveness. That is what I learn from him as a midfielder.

Man is mad to think Harry Kane has ever been better than Ronaldo at any stage of his career. Not even last season, which was one of Kane's best seasons, was he better than Ronaldo.
Except he is probably is better than Ronaldo is now. Absolutely no disrespect to CR7 who is still a world class striker.

Pretty good list, my problem with it is, it flip flopped too much between current form, potential and past ability, if past form was truly a factor then ronaldo would be number 1 no doubt, but to ignore this for Ronaldo and cling to it for Kane & KDB when they’ve been shit for months now seems a bit disingenuous. I’d suggest making seperate lists based on these three attributes or, just sticking to one of these to avoid what seems like a bit of English bias and nostalgia.

Based on current form kane should not be nowere the top, like, at all, think it's wierd to put Ronaldo bellow Kane based on current form, but them he goes, form it's not the only factor, like just saying, if it is on contributions to the club Zaha should be way higher and Ronaldo literally won a cl and a ballon dor at united

I completely agree that it felt Alfie was jumping between which was the most important. It felt like we jumped from starting rankings on current form, then to peak ability, then back to current form, then to current playing potential. I love Alfie with all my heart because he does wonderful work and is such an awesome guy, but this very much felt like he had a list, then needed reasons to justify that list instead of working in reverse, which is how he usually does it. This was never going to be an easy task but it feels like this isn't the best possible list.

Cristiano is definitely better than kane lol. Just look at their stats from 2019 till present
Stats don’t paint the full picture. What does Ronaldo offer in terms of pressing that Kane does? Or even link up play, importance to his club and how either player adapts to a system. Kane was better than cr7 last season and although he hasn’t really been that great this season, keep in mind how awful Tottenham have been. And before u mention United’s form, their entire system under ole was solely focused on making sure Ronaldo got the service he needs whereas both Nuno and Conte are very system oriented and that means Kane has to drop deeper and work harder in order to score goals than Ronaldo has. Cr7 is a poacher, Kane is a complete striker. Know the difference and you’ll understand why stats boost Ronaldo and burden Kane. Right now Kane is better.

Harry Kane at 2 is an absolute joke. On current form he's not even top 10. You cannot reasonably say that Kane is better than Ronaldo using either current or historical form.

the reason city went for kane before ronaldo, is because ronaldo wasnt available until late in the window, plus a striker in citys team would be primarily a poacher. like you stated before he is a better finsiher and natural striker.
Plus one is 28 while the other is 36.
Also Ronaldo is a United legend, would be very hard to convince him to go to their biggest rival.

To be honest I find it hard to disagree with this list. Your channel is one of my favourites and one of the reasons for that is that you don't just focus on the big names of the game and you don't follow hype. I hope you get better soon and thank you for a great video.

It's amazing how surprising a lot of the highest earners at clubs are. I support a team who tend to spend the most on players that end up being failures. Our highest earners and signings have often been pretty disastrous
