    I'm now totally confused about transistors now. How is it the internal of the transistor is just two diodes that seem to be in parallel with one end, but other transistor videos talk about the 3 terminals as having a base, emitter, and collector? They also explain how they can be used to amplify a signal by being a lower power switch to allow a larger power flow on the other connections?

    Thank you for the video. I have a washing machine and dryer with no power. Do I have to take all these parts off the PCB board to test? Do you have any PCB video's?

    My issue is a little off topic we build custom motorcycles and the bigger the motor the motor starin that is put on the batteries even if high CCAs. So what we are thinking about doing is adding a capacitor to give the battery a boost during starting. I have been watch all sorts of youtube videos on this and people are using anyware from 14v-50v capacitors. From my understanding is the voltage doesn't matter since that is just a maximum voltage the unit can handle and with heat and age that maximum voltage rating can drop causing the capacitor to burn out. So we are planning to use a capacitor at least 3x the bikes voltage which is about 13.8. But what we are most concerned about is the farad rating. I watch an HVAC companies video on capacitors and they say that too large of one can burn out their motors so they deal with microfarads instead. So we are wondering if this will be an issue with a motorcycle starter and other electronics that there is a certain farad rating we should stay below or not? I have see all sorts of capacitors for cars that ranged from 1 to 50 farads and more. I don't think we need anything that massive but we want something to give a good boost to the battery at start up so the bikes fire easier instead of lagging on the compression stroke with all the lights fading looking like the battery might not have enough oomf. Can you advise a capacitor rating and if they should include a diode, resistor, or voltage regulator? Since they will need to be small enough to hide on a motorcycle we will most likely just have to order basic capacitors from overseas and what not to wire ourselves compared to one of the large stereo units that comes complete ready to bolt in and connect the wires. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

    Hello. My job is to repair electronic boards in Iran and recently I faced a strange problem.
    As I was repairing a BMW 730i 2017 wing mirror electronic board, there was a dubitable component from ST electronics company which I couldn't find its datasheet on the internet. That was a 2 pin component with Zb2b part number. I am wondering if you could help me with finding out what component I should replace with this. sincerely.

    These tests are not all the way a "valid" ones. It can be shown good on a tester, but not good when "on duty", which means the component must be connected to a powered circuit and then the final word: good or bad.

    Probably this was addresed, but NEVER DISCHARGE A BIG ELECTROLYTHIC CAPACITOR WITH YOU FINGER! (You could end up dead, burned or shocked)
    Discharge it with a proper lead with a resistor to a chasis or grab a screwdriver from the insulated end and shortcut the terminals. In the last case spect a spark.

    if the continuity buzzer beeps in a resistor while in a circuit board but does give a ohm readings is that resistor sorted and bad?? also if the readings of transistor is showing 1 on both side but does not beep is that bad too?

    • @ElectricalElectronicsProjects
      @ElectricalElectronicsProjects  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      While in a circuit board there would many resistors those are connected in series that's shows readings in ohms while individually buzzer beeps because of low resistance.
      if the readings of transistor is showing 1 on both side but does not beep.
      In this situation select diode mode in meter and then try it sometime the range is higher then the selected mode in meter
      so,it shows 1 or OL.

    While testing resistance, our body contact(fingers holding ends of resistance) shown is not correct!!
    There will be substantial error while measuring high value resistance. One should avoid such contact.

    • @ElectricalElectronicsProjects
      @ElectricalElectronicsProjects  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the display doesn't come on may be a fuse is burned if there is.The fuse could also be in a resistor form with low resistance.
