I started watching for the knitting content. I keep watching (enthusiastically WAITING for each episode) because I love visiting with you no matter what you bring up. Knitting, Betty Ann, weather, neighbors, your miscellaneous interests, dogs & cats, life,!etc etc etc. the more the better. Don’t stop. Don’t limit yourselves.
The Montrealer is so, so cool!
    Keep calm and podcast 😜❤️

Like the Mead section--something I've been interested in--my son homebrews delicious beer. Can't wait to hear more. The Montrealer came out beautifully. I was wondering how the hood would look and it's really nice-looking. I might give this a try, too. Tell your nephew not to worry, I've been trying to recruit all the men in my life to knit and, they're curious; it's a start. 😉 Good to see you guys again. And, thank you. --KateColors

Yes, you are knitting people, but I watch people I like.

That was very interesting! TH-cam can send you down some very interesting rabbit holes. Ask me how I know. I love anything that is done from scratch. When the zombie apocalypse happens you fellas are are going to be very popular....people love their alcoholic drinks. Plus y'all knit so you will be able to trade booze and knitwear for all the things! I learned to make cold processed soap a few years ago, which I got super into. The same for spinning, dyeing, nalbinding, tablet weaving, etc. I even purchase whole raw fleeces and process them myself. I need to learn to shear the sheep in order for this to be helpful in a post apocalyptic situation though. My newest hobby is leather work. I just want to learn to do all the things!! I look forward to hearing more about your home brewing journey and I hope y'all have the most excellent week ever!

That was a great explanation of the process of making ginger bear. Pretty cool and interesting. Looking forward to see how your next batch comes out.
For your mead, should you start another batch of that now or a little later on so that you don't have to wait another nine months after you've tried your first batch in November? Just asking.

My husband and I have been making Mead and wine for years. At one point we had over a hundred bottles! We haven't done it now for a couple years, but it was always a fun process. To save yourself some time when you bottle, invest in a standing corker. Much safer and faster. Good luck and have fun! We also made some Door County cherry wine. Delicious

We took the train from Chicago to Seattle the first week of October 2019. I recommend getting a roomette…nothing better than having your own potty & shower. Bring some supplemental food….the best part of the dining car (if they have restarted that) is being seated with strangers. We were seated with the owner of Howling Gale Farm for our final meal. She raises Shetland Sheep in the Methow Valley, WA. Bring your knitting to the observation car.

I'm with you on the M1R M1L situation. M1L is not making a hole, M1R is making a hole, hm. Something isn't right. Learned that last year. Congratulations on marathon training, that's just excellent!! What race are you doing? I've been hoping to get motivated to get out running again. Today a co-worker who is a runner who also fell from grace last year said "we can''t use Covid as an excuse any more." Maybe she and I should challenge each other. Keep us updated on your progress! Just loved hearing about your home brewing experiments, it would be fantastic to hear more about how that goes.

You should do what you want, it's your podcast.
A small section of Sweet mead, no shade would be fun, I think... I'd like to see you taste test the products... but if you want to make it a larger segment, I think, it's great to put in in the end, like you did now, and I can just skip it, if it gets too boring. Because if was fun to hear you explain the process, and I can understand why it's fascinating... but I have zero interest in brewing, and I won't warm to it either, as I don't drink alcohol...
