Thank you so much Robot. I watched your video a few times and it gave me the courage to swap out the fuel pump myself. About 3 Hrs with a couple of blocks of wood and car jack. Followed your instructions and jacked the body up way high to pull out the fuel tank and swap out the cruddy old fuel pump covered in rust. Surprised it worked at all. The job was a lot simpler than expected thanks to your very simple to follow and informative video. Two thumbs up from me👍👍

I replaced my fuel pump yesterday. The GTS is back on the road! The start of my issues was the burnt plug lead coupled with the coil going bad as a result. I had eliminated the fuel pump from the list of issues because it ran on start up and pumped what seemed like a lot of fuel when I disconnected the line. I borrowed a fuel pressure gauge and it showed 1.2 bars at idle...not the required 2.5 bars. The video from Robot at Scooterwest helped and in a couple of hours, I was riding again. Whew.

Great info .. found the issue I had with a loose electrical connector at the pump. My GTS300 (2019) somehow rattled the connector apart. Ride safe .. Squeak

Hi! Nice job. Fuel pump on my GTS 300 75ann 2021 had to be replaced. I am still facing overpressure/underpressure buildup in fuel tank. What can be the cause for that. My local Vespa service is not keen to troubleshoot the issue.

Hi. Are the inside of this Vespa gas tanks coated with something? Or are they just bare metal?
How easy do they rust and if rust arises, what is suggested to do?

    Dear friends
    I have a Vespa vxl 150 Bs-6 2021 brand new
I had an issue that I could not understand why it keeps happening.
I experienced star failure every time when the temperature is high as we are in summer and the temperature goes to 48c some times.
When trying to start it's clear for me that the fuel pump is not functioning.
When it's cool and at night or when I cool down the temperature of the bike it start up normally.
My question is that is there is any overheating sensor fitted on these bikes? Did anyone experienced similar issue?
Thanking you in advance and regards from Sudan
    Hozozo Ali

Absolutely astonished by that statement on the fuel filter, “meant to last the life of the scooter”. What does that translate to in running miles, 110,000? Also noticed you weren’t wearing your fancy Apple Watch for this job hehe 😏
This clip is Designer approved 🛵❤️🤖

Robot I have a 2009 piaggio fly 150 fuel sending unit that is on the top of the tank next to the battery. My gas gauge doesn’t read correctly so I’m thinking about changing the sending unit. But I’m thinking all I gotta do is just spin off the sending unit since it’s easy to get to. Am I correct ? The sending unit is next to the battery on top. It looks easy & I’m hoping I’m correct. Thank you for all your great videos. Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 Bob

I had an ‘08 Fly-50 as my first ride. You’re probably correct about ease of replacement but hopefully the Vespa Motorsport team will shoot you a reply. Find yourself a parts diagram PDF for the Fly. I’ve been able to do a lot of my own Ducati work by studying those parts diagrams and exploded drawings (and a Haynes manual and TH-cam vids too of course) because those drawings give you context . Be careful though; success could lead to buying more bikes, tools and becoming obsessed if you’re not carful 😉

@@Designer_Opine yes the 09 piaggio fly 150 is my 3rd piaggio scooter as I have a 2003 piaggio LT 150 also. I’m 64 retired with plenty time lots of tools & many workshop & Haynes manuals & I watch tons of TH-cam videos. What gets me crazy is there so many parts#s for same part. And many scooters use same or similar cross reference parts. I’ve changed tires on both scooters, Michelin city grip 2s. I try to do all work as I’m now changing all rubber vac & fuel hoses & any wear item . Got the topcase & windshields , kickstands etc all the fun stuff. I’m single guy so I bought the 09 piaggio fly 150 for $700 but it needs some TLC but it looks & runs great so friends can have a scooter to ride with me. Both scooters have under 5,000 miles on them. Working & tinkering can be fun way to enjoy time. Robots videos are a life saver. Wish he’d show some older stuff especially the 09 fly 150 as lots them were sold. But I understand they showing the stuff that’s more recent , nicer & more expensive. Robots my hero a friggin scooter genius & great mechanic. I’ve picked up some great deals from scooter west on clearance that Robot has shown in videos. Happy scootering & Merry Christmas 🙏🍀✌️🎄🛵

    Hi Robot,
I have a question About Some product on your website.
I have a GTS 250 2009 and want to fit the 2015 euro style led blinker for front and back.
On the website i can find a set That contains the front and rear blinkers for $359,90. The product no. Is MI202-KIT
Now i can also find these 2 separeted
The front set with no. MI200-GTS-EURO-FRT
And another separate rear set with no. MI200-GTS-EURO-REAR
Are the set and the two separate Products the same Thing?
The set is more expensive at $369.90
And the separate ones combined are $244.90
Seems that there is a difference in them but What?
To clear any misconception, i need the front and rear blinkers including adapters to make them fit a older GTS.
Thanks for your video’s and i would like to hear your reply
    Thank you.

Hey Robot! What type of fuel does the HPE engine get? Manual says 95 octane and I've been reading a lot of peop say to avoid ethanol as well. What's your thought on that? I'm in California it seems hard to avoid ethanol

I ALWAYS swish the gas around and dump it. Dont want to leave sediment inside the tank that will choke the sock filter…. Its amazing how much gunk gets inside that tank. Then you have a new setup.
