Nah, I've seen "Color Bass" more commonly used as a genre name than a sound design technique name personally.
I have to disagree from my perspective. It's not that I don't see it, it's more that I see it mentioned mostly on sound design related stuff. And with the grow of new genres (Colour house and Colour trap) instead of just calling it colourbass. But these days everything blurs together, so I'll stay with this untill I see enough against the claim of it just being a sound design technique.
I stop categorizing music by the genre.

Another thing, future riddim tries to make the music sounds futuristic, some things that they uses its leads in 3/4 signatures and some basses out of time, like desynchronized

i would say colorbass is definitely an independent genre, while colorization is the blanket term to refer to the type of sound design. it definitely has overlap with melodic riddim but is distinctly different. i kinda think of it as colorbass being a subgenre of melodic dubstep, while melodic riddim is a subgenre of riddim. au5's cryptochrome would be a good example of colorbass vs ximm's false which is a lot more like melodic riddim. the drum pattern, snare tone, and bass pattern are the main distinguishing factors imo

Man, Future Riddim and Colour Bass, it's different from the music scene, but the essence of each one is very similar, even more so coming from a hybrid of Riddim with Future Bass, or Future Bass with DUB

I tried to debate with myself with this video that "Colour Bass" is actually a separate genre, so I decided to just look up "Colour Bass".
To my surprise, you are mostly correct. Though I agree that Colour Bass is totally the technique, a lot of people refer to it like a different genre.
"How to make Colour Bass" instead of "How to do Colour Bass (Wait, typing that sentence totally just made sense now. How to make bass sounds, and not how to do a genre omg, I think I am wrong.)
I might change my perspective on what Colour Bass is from now on, because upon looking up "Colour Bass" on TH-cam, there are SOOOOO many different Colour Bass songs of so many other genres. Some TH-cam mixes even specify what genre they're going for like "Colour Bass Mix | Melodic Riddim, Future Riddim, Melodic Dubstep" and not just "Colour Bass" alone. I mean, Colour Bass is mostly Dubstep, but oohhh boy, it is not limited to that.
It's nice to have this viewpoint that Colour Bass is a technique rather than a genre. Although, like everybody else, I would still refer to it like a genre in everyday conversation, like "Oh, you're listening to Colour Bass" and not "Oh, you're listening to Melodic Riddim".
Although, comparing it to how "Dubstep" is used, nobody really says it's a technique, but I would still rather specify a Dubstep genre like "You're listening to Tearout" rather than "You're listening to Machine Gun Basses". Okay, uttering that sentence, nobody says "Colour Basses" either.

Basically, Melodic Riddim is this more ambient and wet Riddim that is reverberated and vocoded to Colour Hell. More gem and water cave noises.
Future Riddim utilizes on a lead (chiptune/square) synth and Hyper melody on their drops, and are usually more fast-paced. More laser sounds.

@@ELDROID_Music okay well i would say it has more to do with drumstep then because dnbs classic shakers are missing and the bpm is higher. But im not a Genre expert just a Veteran 😛😂
Ofcourse it has more to do with Dubstep. But my point was that it's used in a lot of other genres than Dubstep. That's all.
