Well yes, but no. Thanks to Oolacile and Halcyon, now especially because Leotrix it's taking off. Imo it still has a Riddim beat, but it's just very melodic. And ride&back&home goes more into a Hyperpop direction.
Allright there's a lot to cover in this comment so imma sort my reply out. About halcyon: _if you're refering that it really took of from there, you're totally right. All I did was show the first FutureRiddim song that I knew of because it blew up like crazy thanks to other artists on twitter._ About the Riddim beat: _I disagree, most of the songs I like to listen to use more free patterns with way more variety than Riddim has. And if It just is more melodic, it would probably be melodic riddim._ About Hyperpop song: _yep, probably true! You're not the only one that commented that, so I was wrong by using it as an example here._
@@ELDROID_Music Sometimes I'm not exactly sure if a tune is Future Riddim, because it has melodic synths similar to other FR tracks, but the drum pattern is different. So I'm not sure if it's FR, Hyperpop or some kind of Trap. Plus some say FR and Melodic Riddim is not the same, which I'm not sure about. I have a very huge FR playlist, but I think a couple tracks do be Hyperpop. All I can say is that I love this genre so damn much!
Also, I agree with Eldroid, riddim has basically always used 808 and trap style drums, but if you consider Chroma by VR Future Riddim-ish it is a different style of drums, I think it's more about variety, this music is evolving in an amazing way right now.
Neither the drums or bass patterns/designs sounding like trap to me? Future riddim is like the heartbreak remix from leotrix or the DDD songs, all of them have a simple kick clap pattern like Riddim dubstep but melodic elements. Nothing near trap for me
@@ELDROID_Music yes, but I know what you mean, maybe everybody defines it different but there are a lot of tracks that are categorized as Riddim wich have a lot of trap patterns in the drop. For me these type of tracks are a combination of riddim & trap 😂 So we have Triddim 😭💀🗿
Easy and effective! I like it. It's just that some future riddim songs are just beeps and clicks. So it doesn't cover all of it. I still think that my video falls short on way too many things..
I still think that's more Melodic Riddim. Future Riddim is even too complex to even explain in this video because of all the music theory choises made in the genre and the futuristic sound design.
i did not make or even pioneer future riddim Fr
please thank oolacile and halcyon
You're the first instance I've heard of mate. But I shall make an updated version (already working on it)
Venetian snares moment
I came here to post this

@@Marc.Acidica You should link that playlist. 🤣

That fucking polyriddim censor tho🤣🤣🤣🤣
Also thanks, very informative!
Glad you get the meme in the first place. Most people who've seen it don't even know it at all. (according to discord messages)
@@ELDROID_Music oh that's too bad, btw what's your discord?
Only if you want tho
I mean Leotrix is the main future riddim guy
i think ride&back&home is hyperpop
im not sure tho
Yeah, I thought something like that too, but qwaston himself says its future riddim, soooo... idk anymore
lmao
it can also be a mixture of hyperpop and future riddim according to what i saw somewhere
Makes the most sense to me
bass-lead thing
Can't hear the songs you've mentioned. Now i have to search for them??
Yep, hope you like em!

Tbh, this video needs a huge update. There's way more I need to add to it and I have to pick better examples.

Triddim 😂
Oh no
Ye now i understand it thx
My definition of future riddim, a riddim track with distorted melody on it
Easy and effective! I like it. It's just that some future riddim songs are just beeps and clicks. So it doesn't cover all of it. I still think that my video falls short on way too many things..
it's just a riddim with melodic synths
Isn't that Melodic Riddim?
@@ELDROID_Music yeah but a short cut lol
@@ELDROID_Music noooo lmao, colour bass isnt a synth
Depends how you make it. If you use convolution you use a synth to be the echo response of a sound. Sure it's not a synth but its getting close to it.
@@ELDROID_Music it's a mix of bass+lead+synth
imo future riddim it's just riddim with tonal
I still think that's more Melodic Riddim. Future Riddim is even too complex to even explain in this video because of all the music theory choises made in the genre and the futuristic sound design.
I'd say it's just hybrid trap
