Im really glad you upload more of the game :D Just about Endless: I personally dislike playing Endless except for silly ideas. The game finishes at Floor 5 and beyond that it just becomes a redundant "rinse and repeat". It can still be a lot of fun to see how far a build can go, but the Perks kinda go crazy. And now back to the actual video cause I like to skip to the end to spoil myself :D
If I understand this right, the "picked up alone" check happens on and during pickup, not on collection, and it leads to a few discrepancies. I believe the checking box is in and beneath the claw. For example, if you pick up a second item and it drops weirdly (like sideways), it'll still count as two pickups. This works the other way, too. Those daggers that keep going above the magnet aren't hitting the checking box until the pick up phase (and thus the check) ends, so the daggers never counted to the pickup. In theory, if a hopping dagger from that one enemy joined your pickup, it'd work the same way.
The reason you were getting 20 damage when the magnet picked up more than just the small sword is that the other dagger(s) got stuck high enough up that they entered the collection tray long enough after the sword that the sword was counted as being alone. I've had it happen with the "Picky" perk as well.
Should've gone for the rings with the claw. They're small, easy to pick up and scale massively. Trying to pick up the big magnet clumps seemed to be difficult with the claw. Also, you could probably have dropped your magnet to the left to those clumps instead of directly above them. They will attach anyway and I think less of them will get stuck or fall back. Great video!
Endless mode for this game isn't too interesting IMO. It scales way to slow compared to you as you get more and more op from massive amounts of perks and gold.
28:25 Clogged moment 30:19 Golden Mountain Syndrome 37:52 Computer-for-a-head boss Love the bomb design. Look at how angry they are. 41:28 NOT AGAIN! But it was temporary.
Looks like the big thing with that magnet build it to just make sure the magnet is to the right of your claw. The rest of the clump doesn't matter, it's just about where the magnet is. Everything else is pulled into or out of the hole towards where the magnet ended up.
Pretty much every sentence that Tyler said that included "pill" sounded like a rap lyric. (And a lot of other lines too) "I try to dodge the pill" "Somehow I managed to pick up the pill, even though it isn't magnetic // what are they putting my pills // is there lead in there or something (worse), not sure" "I don't need anything, I just need to have a good time // will it let me have a good time? Yes it will" "I guess I'm just tankin' up all the time" "I even got rid of a dude" I can go on but damn, Tyler's spittin fire
Every time he grabbed the magnet rather than just using the magnet arm to pick it up I died a little inside. Edit: For the first half of the video. Having two+ magnets in the machine made this less terrible.
They also combo really well with the perk for extra use on first item and the perk for extra use on single pickup. Big Shield+ grabbed on its own on the first turn? 90 block. Follow it up with a single-pickup Morningstar+? 2 x 135 damage. I've found builds like those to be the most fun personally; after the initial shock value of magnet builds wears off, the annoyance of playing fetch with a big uncooperative ball of metal makes me avoid magnets entirely now.
Endless mode enemies get rediculously powerful after a while. Also getting a lot of powerups to become a god of destruction is always fun, no matter the game.
23:38 so true. I'm gonna keep commenting on the jokes for the algorithm and just in case people see it. The editors really are hilarious. Tyler too, but the editors don't get enough attention.
Two magnets is the sweet spot I think, any more than that and you get a blob that's hard to pick up and even with the magnet claw probably just rolls back.
I got a build with this character with just hands of midas, gold daggers and magnets - no other items. Also got 8 golden armor buffs (2 HP per 10 gold coins). Currently I am on floor 40 with over 28k gold, 45k hp and dealing close to 6k damage. The enemies scale, but seemingly slower than me :) It's fun to see the damage scale, but the actual game becomes boring. I sometimes do play this build while listening to something; see how much it can scale and it I'll get defeated at some point.
Getting into watching your channel, just finished watching your Pâquerette Down the Bunburrows videos and YOU TOTALLY NEED TO REVISIT IT!! There's a new bun and a new mechanic.
Tyler you should check out Peglin again! Theres been lots of updates since your last video. Ps. Love the channel, love the content and love you. Keep on keepin on ❤
The one perk that adds fluff to the machine would have been pretty good with hand of midas, but alas (edit: referring to one he got as an option after a boss, not the one he got later)
Hey Tyler, I don't know if it's a dev oversight, but when you picked up the Gold Armor perk, it gave you 1 health per 5 coins. It comes to the same, but the threshold is different.
You should try to get a Magnet + Hand of Midas combo asap when playing as pretty much any character, and prioritize upgrading both items as well, because money is _very_ important in this game. (BTW, you can turn up the game's speed in the settings)
Tyler please play Woodworm, you can play it in browser and it is amazing, snakebird movement with puzzles that are hard but fair. Perfect for a one episode playtrough.
Tyler, why, when you realised that picking stuff up on the left side of the magnet was bad, did you continue to pick up stuff directly from above with the magnet? Surely picking it up on the RIGHT side would have made drops more reliable? And you really should have picked up the helmet near the end of the vid, it gives double your block, and your block was generally pretty good! 😉
@@RandomMemes-qt7pe Found the channel (Aliensrock Archive), but i was wrong about the stream being on there. I know he's played it before, I just don't know if there's even surviving footage.
Aaaah, your health bar keeps on being chiped everey fight because your engine doesn't produce flat block right away (you don't pick up the wood shields with your build, the armor produce shield over time) and yet you kept on skipping the metal shield which would become "free" sources of block during the early fight. The 3rd you rerolled on, with 15hp, was so hard to watch
This hurt to watch him try and pick up the magnet with the claw,ut never worked, it was way better to just double magnet and claw the shields or other items.
All magnets have north and south poles. Opposite poles are attracted to each other, while the same poles repel each other. When you rub a piece of iron along a magnet, the north-seeking poles of the atoms in the iron line up in the same direction. The force generated by the aligned atoms creates a magnetic field.
Im really glad you upload more of the game :D Just about Endless: I personally dislike playing Endless except for silly ideas. Best Dungeon Clawler creators in a same video.... damm i this must be in a wild dream someone wake me up
dex?? what are you doing here?
Oh look its dex
I first saw dungeon clawler because of Tyler then was interested and watched your stuff. Glad to see you watch Tyler too
I like how he mentions too much stuff gets to the left of the magnet yet refuses to adjust by lowering the magnet a bit to the left.
It's irritating me so much.
A little to the left if you will (pun intended)
I came to the comments to see if I was the only one who kept thinking that 😭😭

Biggest benefit of the magnet item and magnet claw combo is that it groups up the items preemptively so they don't end up on the sides of the claw
37:20 oh comeon i thought you had figured out to pick it up on the side.
This character is so powerful you should go endless mode if you got a good build going
Endless mode for this game isn't too interesting IMO. It scales way to slow compared to you as you get more and more op from massive amounts of perks and gold.

The 2nd time I’ve ever watched this game and it’s basically the same build as I saw the 1st time.
The magnet hand guy is the first character you unlock beyond the default one, so yeah, that's gonna happen
I noticed that the "increase health for every 10 gold" actually had your health go *down* at one point because you spent coins..

I dare you to go endless until you get 100% discount from multiple copies of the 5% off perk. Then go for whatever build you want.
Can you try hyper light drifter, it's definitely different from the stuff you usually play but it's visually stunning and has oodles of secret areas
