Today in Dungeon Clawler we finally go for a Piranha build - no, that's not Pira-nya, it's just how we say it in German. I said no. The Piranya is an odd weapon that swims around and eats Fluff, each time increasing it's damage. However, the main difficulty is actually clawing the Piranha to attack the enemies, because it swims around and eats Fluff. All the time. Unless it gets stranded. There also seems to be an odd bug that prevents the Piranha from being thrown back into the item pool, but despite that it was a solid weapon - hopefully getting fixed soon.

I think because the fluff was getting readded it counted to the "max stuff added a turn" things and didn't let the piranhas back in

Normally it isn't an issue, since it appears that fluff is coded as a one use item that does nothing, but because you aren't using it you need a lot of hoarder to make it work
It sounds like the fix is to make fluff use a separate fluff counter, equal to the max item drop. So with 30 items per turn your fluff comes back 30 items at a time. So the fishes can eat 30 fluff per turn and never be excluded given you only own 10 items.
That said fluff shouldn't probably be re-added so readily otherwise hand of midus plus fish becomes very strong, infinite gold generation plus a way to empty the fluff in the map and leave yourself only gold coins. Even if the fluff thus converted doesn't return, that's like 40 fluff and thus gold per map, and some boosted damage
The lack of more fluff really waters out the piranhas. I think 2 is the sweet spot
Yea, the issue is kind of: Taking more Fluff only adds 10, you already start with 40 and seem to get 10 per round either way. So adding another 10 is a bit hmmm not impactful. Initially it was the plan, until I saw that Piranhas are buggy and don't get thrown back in every turn - or I don't know what the real issue was. But at that point I was then rather looking for things that make me survive/last long enough until they drop back in

Sounds like the solution is more Hoarder to get above the fluff cap.
I think Junk Jet was healing so much due to your healing perks seemingly having a minimum heal each. Each item dealt one damage, so you healed 1 per hit with vampire perk, then the character perk heal and paw's percent heal also heal 1 each for 3hp per item added, x20 items max per turn added

@@llutac You got me curious so I looked up the etymology. It looks like "nah" is common in English, but "nya" is probably the original pronounciation from Tupi and Portugese.

I just kind of like it how the themes in games become progressively more absurd. I mean, going for "Piranha + Battery + Sponge" build sounds significantly more strange than some more regular "Fireball + Sorceress" build you would have in some other games.
The piranha's in the item menu on the right stay stacked during the first round of every fight. This either means they're always eating the exact same amount of fluff on the first round (unlikely) OR, for some reason, they share their fluff gains on the first round, effectively making them super effective in high numbers on the first round
One time a monster possessed the Piranha and flung it behind the claws making it disappear for the rest of the fight.
Was I the only one who had quite a lot of ads in this video? 4 ads in the first 6 minutes. I had ad number 8, right after the 20 minute mark, luckily that was the last one.

you shoud always have a piranhia, for the final boss, youy eliminate the hand of midas and the fluff becomes a problem so 1 piranhia and the 20% wather talent(also the battery with the wather buff is good so you whant the wathar anyway)

Not going to lie, I was thinking when you turned the piranha metal they would sink and not be able to swim, lucky they didn't. That said, 2 piranha doesn't sound bad as it looked like you had a number of turns where they didn't get readded.
