Saw him play at Roker Park, the home to his Biggest critics not long after the 1990 World Cup, for Spurs, and when he was the MAN in football, and at a corner kick they threw Mars bars at him & he picked one up had a bite then threw it back at the crowd, and got round of applause 😄

i get those feelings when i see rocastle score last min 1987 and when charlie lobbed clemence for 4-2, when i see brady swerve the ball in the 5-0, the two recent 5-2 matches are well funny and 5-4...but theres so many times we have beaten u in the last 30 years i cant remeber them all....lol
At the end of the day, it was a great goal and would have been so whatever team it was scored against. It deserves to be on youtube as much as any goal scored against Spurs deserves to. I am sure there are loads of videos of that goal that Henry scored against Spurs on here and I have no issue with that.
what makes this goal the best, is the Barry Davies commentary. I could listen to Barry Davies all day. Davies was the best commentator ever, if you ask me. Motson is ok, but his phrases are very repetitive and tedious. Bring Barry Back to the BBC!
Fergie thought he had him signed but then over a weekend venables signed him for spurs. It would have been best for everyone except spurs if he had gone to man utd, Fergie would have kept him in line and gazza would have been mentionned alongside the all time greats. Gazza could have achieved so much more.

I broke my hand punching a chest of drawers in celebration when this went in. Still feel it today. Well worth it though.
