After a lot of work and and drinking, the Sonic and Sega lost media iceberg is finished! I hope you enjoyed, and thanks for the support! If there's another iceberg I should take on, let me know!
Actually, Generations' lost ports goes something like this: The game started development as "Sonic Anniversary" in early 2009, and was set to be released on the 360, PS3, Wii, DS, PSP and PC released in 2011 for the 20th anniversary. Later that same year (presumably), the Wii and DS versions deviated into their own game, of what would become Colors. The general consensus for the PSP version is that it turned into the 3DS version.
im not gonna lie, this was the best and most detailed sega/sonic iceberg ive ever saw (and notice that I've been seeing content like this for as long as I can remember) its so cool that people actually care to things like that!! Thanks for spreading awarness on the topic :D
@@ZMangzbro that’s so nice I have a few games both JP and the English release of SW5 and those Special edition boxes for Dreamcast and I was able to get that Japanese Shin Sakura Taisen collectors edition with the cds
Seems Aegis: The First Mission is getting a rerelease on both Nintendo Switch and Steam. Here's hoping FF: Before Crisis also gets a re-release at some point.
11:50 "Sega Swirl 2. The sequel to the game that next to none of you have played." Hey, I played it. 😅 I had Sega Smash Pack 2 on our Windows 98 PC in the early to mid 2000's, and Sega Swirl was included on the disc. It was kind of cool.
@@ZMangzI am surprised you never added the unreleased Sega arcade fighting game Psy-Phi, which would have been released on the Sega Lindbergh in 2006 and was made by Yu Suzuki and had touchscreen controls, but it never went past location tests in 2005.
22:20 IIRC there's an interview where they explain why the Shenmue remakes were canned, I can't remember exactly why but I think it was a combo of money and them realizing that fans would rather just have a straight port of the two games, but I could be misremembering. And as for the question at the end of the entry: I was born in 2003 so the only Shenmue hype I saw was III and uh it's one of my favorite series ever. I feel like it still holds up really well, it gets a bad rap now because of the Like a Dragon/Yakuza comparisons despite both series not really having that much in common. Go into it expecting the origins of a lot stuff like Oblivion and the Witcher III and to enjoy a lot of funny dialogue and you'll come out a fan. 1 is an essential cozy game and 2 & 3 have so much stuff to occupy you for hours. Although i always forget my username might make me seem bias, lol.
1:21:24 also worth noting that from what i remember Seaman 3DS was supposed to be a third Seaman and less of a just port, or moreso like the PS2 or canned PC ports of Seaman where it's essentially the same as Seaman 1 but with differences to fit the context of the console, making essentially a different game (and ermm actkually seaman isnt sega🤓but ig it bein associated with dreamcast a lot warrants it being here)
I want to find out where that xbox with dreamcast support prototype if it exists also gametap had the only port of knuckles chaotix to ever exist officially
Not too popular. I see some merch here and there, but not to the extent of Tom & Jerry, Winnie the Pooh, or Snoopy. They might have been in their heyday but now it's rare to see any fans of the Looney Tunes in Japan.
If admitting the sega saturn was superior to the N64 is a hot take then thats unfortunate cause idk why everyone glazes the N64 so badly. If sega bothered getting the games to america with backwards compatibility to sega genesis/cd/32x it wouldve done fantastically easy. N64 has no games and the 3d games are a hit or miss with them being dated

I love the iceberg videos It was thanks to your videos that I actually know a few anime series and games that caught my attention
@darkdoctor1915 thanks for the watch! Anything in particular catch your eye??
@@ZMangz, a fair amount actually, can’t really say which one, outside certain movies

Glad you liked it! It's important to document this stuff, and I hope more stuff gets found in the future!
ONLY 100 views with this quality !?!?? This was amazing definitely subbed keep up the grind
Eh, it happens. I'm glad I made it and glad you enjoyed!!
Puyo Puyo was supposed to be localized as a Kitsy Cat (What Puyo Puyo is a licensed game of) game but that never happened.
You forgot the original version of Shinobi 3, which was essentially completed, but they opted to restart development when the reviews were lukewarm.
Actually, Unleashed started out as SA3, but eventually drifted off into its own thing.
Can’t wait to watch this. I love all things Sega 🌀
Vectorman 3 looked alright. Sad that it got shut down. If a sequel or reboot ever gets made, would love to see a shoot-the-Sega-logo easter egg
I played both games recently for some footage, the Vectorman games are still fun.
Based for mentioning Sakura Taisen in the begining
I love me some Sakura wars. I got a Sakura Wars hoodie. total swagger whenever I go out wearing it.

I had to hastily re-edit my newest video cause Atlus decided to do something good for a change.
The game that Sega told Travelers Tales to make was actually Sonic 3D Blast which is my favorite sonic game.
Great video. Love the info
Glad you enjoyed it!

I want to say I had sega swirl at some point, but if I did i definitely didn't play it that much haha.

Thanks for the watch!!
i feel like a shenmue remake would do well now
i also just went into a rabbit hole with the johnny and associates stuff. fucked up was not expecting that

@@ZMangz I guess why it is not popular in Japan... Bugs Bunny Nips the Nips-
@9:49 He looks more like P. Jack or Prototype Jack from Tekken 2
well now aigis first mission is fully playable
only in japanese tho
Eh figures all atlus old mobile to modern consoles ports are exclusive to Japan
