Thanks for making your videos. You do a great job with them, even on the little things like cabin filter change. Hey, the less time I have to spend on thinking and on trial and error of fixing something, is more time I have to play in my jeep

    Awesome video man, great information.
One point I'd like to make tho is that a dirty or clogged filter won't do any damage to the blower.
Restricting air flow to or from a blower actually reduces drag on the motor because its not having to move air, however the cooling or heating capacity of the system will likely be reduced because of the lowered airflow.
    Love your videos!

It puts excessive resistance on the blower motor. I have seen blower motors fail (not in Jeep Wrangler) due to the cabin filter completely stopped up with no air flow from vents and a smoked blower motor.
      Thanks Joshua. 😊👍🏻

The blower itself will draw less amperage with a restricted flow.
Same thing happens in a vacuum cleaner when you block off the inlet, the motor speeds up because it's no longer doing any work by moving air.
The problem with that is that most motor mounted blowers not only move air thru the system, part of the air they move is used to cool the motor....which can cause overheating.

Joshua Holder Yup, less work, less amperage, longer life. Good call.

I just paid over $80 at the Jeep dealership to change the cabin air filter. In the future, I will change it myself.

Wow I had no idea it has a cabin filter. Great information and I’ll make a reminder to make sure it’s clean. I don’t do the Facebook thing for obvious reasons, maybe there’s another way to send pictures to you. But once again, thanks for the info you post it’s very helpful. I don’t know of any other dealer who would tell you about this.

Interesting setup. Wondering how we will be able to remove the dirty filter when heavily loaded with debris (Leaves, twigs, dead rodents etc.) without the debris falling into the system. It seems there should be a cartridge to remove completely that would allow for the complete removal of debris

Just a thought - could you tell us how to get the rear seat on a 4 door JL to lay flat ? I can’t seem to get it down as much as it should and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Thanks
