The amazing thing about these two is that despite all the damage the did and infamy they earned, they were actually small people and unthreatening in stature. Bonnie stood 4'11 and weighed 90 pounds. Clyde’s height is debated but is usually said to be between 5'4 and 5'6, and he weighed about 125 pounds.

Other Bank robbers allegedly had utter disdain for Bonnie and Clyde. They seen them as two bit punks. John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson, Ma Barker, and the like, they report hated them the were drawing heat on the rest of them. And it was reported that they're biggest hiest was approximately $2,000, thats why they're were Bank Robbers who did robberies of ten of thousands of dollars.

I knew an elderly lady in the early 2000’s who was a waitress in a diner when they came to Vivian, Louisiana. She immediately knew who they were, but pretended she didn’t recognize them. She was terrified. When they left, she called the police but Bonnie and Clyde were long gone before they showed up.

11:34 I'm so glad Infographics included this, as most recent adaptations of Bonnie and Clyde (2019's The Highwaymen) have gone with this testimony and portray Bonnie as a psychopath mastermind along with Clyde, despite being asleep at the time and her injury. Old movies were bad in portraying them as heroes but modern movies are gone way far the opposite route and show them as cunning serial killers as oppose to being the terrible reckless robbers they were, yet the same treatment isn't given to more dangerous outlaws like Jesse James and Billy the kid, who still are adored as folk heroes despite their crimes and more murders than Bonnie and Clyde (probably has a lot to with the Rebel/Cowboy image of them.).
I mean there is evidence to suggest that shortly before he died Jesse James gave a large sum of money to a widow and her children who was about to lose her house to the bank.

Most of Jesse James fame comes from the fact he discriminated during train robberies, he would rob you if your hands weren't callused but would leave you alone if you had working man's calluses, then there was the fact that the man who murdered him did it after being invited into his house and shot him in the back while he was straightening a picture.

I had a distant relative that was killed by them in Missouri. I never really understand how they were romanticized.
I guess is a fantasy because everybody has dark thoughts that they don't act on so when they see the living embodiment of 1 they want to see it unfold even though they can never do it because of society and laws unfold, that can also occur in turbulent times what is a lack of quality of life

Fun fact: Frank Hamer, the man who led the posse that killed Bonnie and Clyde, had met Bonnie before she was a criminal. She worked as a waitress at a diner he frequented and even showed Hamer some of her poetry. Hamer fell in love with the young Bonnie, but she left before he could tell her how he felt. Yet another “nice guys finish last” story.

Most of the story of Bonnie and Clyde took place in Dallas, TX as they both grew up in the neighborhood now known as West Dallas. The battles that broke out between the gang's families and associates after their deaths is actually more interesting than the lives of B and C. Nearly 20 people ended up doing time for working with the gang and Clyde's mother got caught in the crossfire losing an eye to some buckshot just 4 years after losing her sons Clyde and Buck.

Actually that dress was black while the stripes on it were red yellow and green according to people who saw it.

Funny story, these two were known for robbing and killing yet the car that they died in is now resting in a casino in Primm Nevada. This casino also had various mob activity when the mobs were at their prime. The Bonnie and Clyde death car now sits between slot machines and an armoured car that was used by Dutch Schultz

Those officers they killed were in Grapevine, Tx. My family is from that area, My great grandfather once was driving over a bridge and noticed a car stopped underneath it. At first he thought they needed help, but once he looked over he saw a bunch of guns. He sped back home and stayed up all night with a shotgun, watching out the window in case they followed him home
