Hey up shipmate. Nice little video. I could do with carrying this out on my Landcruiser to be honest. Loving the pussers overalls, dodgy PPE and the Naval setting as usual. All the best, Dave C.
Hahaha thanks for watching buddy, well you know how it goes, if pusser provides then why pay for PPE and why pay garage fees 🤣🤣, to be fair the stuff is brilliant and well worth doing, hope you are keeping well, all the best
Rangers and other body-on-frame vehicles get a fair bit of corrosion inside the box sections, crossmembers, and in the fenders as well as the tow bar and hitch. A good way to clean out the inside of the box sections and fender hollows is to use a pressure washer with one of the cheap drain jetting kits. I've gone through my entire Ranger frame up along the arches and up in the fenders. The best nozzle to use is the rotating jetter. Mine had a similar amount of external frame rust and I inspected the inner box section using a borescope and the before and after difference was shocking.
that will be my next thing to do when the weather turns next year, , I want to maybe look into different products, janoguard has been fantastic and its holding up well but I want to keep this truck on the road so I may go another route, we will see, thank you for watching
You can do as little or as much as you want, I removed some parts but not wheel arch liners as I have a wheel arch kit on and didn’t want to, some people strip it all down and some do nothing, I wanted to just get to the bits that were bad, I will be doing a complete strip down this year to go further as it’s held out really well over the winter so far so it’s definitely worth doing long term, but it’s personal choice really
that's the thing, I was lucky to not need the truck for a couple of days, to be fair you can just apply lanoguard after a quick jet wash and dry underneath, in my opinion lanoguard is great and will add at least some protection until you get more time, thanks for commenting
Hi guys, thanks for the video, its brilliant especially as you show the prep involved and applying Lanoguard, thanks again 🙂
Great product and good to get under the truck, gives a sense of achievement doing something yourself

I’ve just ordered this ….do you not have to take the inner arch splash guards off prior ?….I don’t really want to but just wandering if it’s advisable
