Night flying is fun on take offs and landings, but in between at altitude, it's kinda boring. Of course, when you look out the window at night and can see the lights below, it's nice. In the clouds, vertigo, if you don't train yourself to trust which way is up or which way is down. That can get anybody. However, I love takeoffs. It's a rush, as you get pushed back into your seat and the aircraft gains speed. Then when it just starts to lift off, that feeling of flight takes hold. It's quite magical actually and most of us take for granted how beautiful flight is. To become a bird and see things from afar below is really amazing.
I don't mind a little turbulence once aloft, but in level flight, I despise it. For the flight crew it's all routine. They're so busy in the cockpit monitoring instruments and chatting to control or each other, turbulence just seems so unimportant. At night, there is usually less turbulence and especially over water. Of course the higher the aircraft can go, the less likely you'll experience any turbulence.
This video is exceptionally well done. The lights are indeed magical. It creates this feeling of wonder and amazement in one's mind. It's truly epic!

Yeah, I love takeoffs too. It's my favorite part of every flight. Oh, and watching the wing surfaces open up near landing.

@@flapsnslats the reason for the long roll is Bec the plane u was on is a 737-800 most likely, 737s are known for long rotations due to its design most Boeing aircrafts don't rotate quickly or straight up, it's a slow slow climb :) even when it's light it is pretty slow
