  • After searching for installation and set up of my new Ring 8 Piece Alarm I didn't find much out there that walked you through the complete set up, start to finish. I hope this video helps you tackle this project. I bought mine about 6 months ago and never installed it because I thought it would be a big project. As you can see, it was super easy and took only about 30 min to install. I have linked all of the products used or mentioned in this video below.
    NOTE: YOU MAY NEED TO APPLY FOR AN ALARM PERMIT IN YOUR CITY IF YOU OPT FOR THE PROFESSIONAL MONITORING. Make sure you search your city / county website for this requirement and apply for the permit if needed!!
    Thanks for watching!!

    This isn’t my usual content, but it was a house project I’ve been putting off because I thought it would be much harder than it was. Let this be your encouragement to tackle something you’ve been putting off. It might not be that bad. 😊

    Great video. Thank u very much Does the key pad needs to be connected at all times? Or is it battery?

    • @NeverNotCleaning
      @NeverNotCleaning  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It has a battery. You don’t have to physically connect it with a cable, but I did end up doing that in my laundry room just so I don’t have to worry about it charging. The app will tell you when the battery is low and to charge it.
      You can also enable and disable the system from the app on your phone so the keypad isn’t even needed if you don’t want to use it.

    I found your video searching for setting up ring alarm. I am completely new to ring so right out of the gate I’m experiencing problems. I’m sure it’s not THAT difficult. I installed the app, created an account but haven’t moved much from that point. What’s with “Bluetooth setup?” 😢😢

    • @NeverNotCleaning
      @NeverNotCleaning  ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you plugged in the base unit? That’s the first step. Once that’s connected to your WiFi (i connected mine with a cable directly to my router but you can use WiFi too) you can set up the rest of the devices.

    is there a subscription for this?

    • @NeverNotCleaning
      @NeverNotCleaning  ปีที่แล้ว

      I had a ring doorbell pro that records and saves the video for 6 months. I’m not sure what that plan is called but it includes professional monitoring of your alarm and cameras. I think it cost me around $120/year. It’s included in the doorbell service I had already subscribed to so it didn’t cost anything extra for me.

  • @Thewolfofelmstreet
    @Thewolfofelmstreet ปีที่แล้ว

    I don’t get it tho? …What happens when you set the key pad and someone opens the doors/windows that these senators are on? Does just makes that quiet little noise or?

    • @NeverNotCleaning
      @NeverNotCleaning  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh, it’s not quiet. When the alarm is set if one of the doors or windows is opened it’s a loud blaring siren and it’s professionally monitored so the police are dispatched if it’s not turned off. The little beep noise you hear is just an alert that the door opened when the alarm is OFF

    • @Thewolfofelmstreet
      @Thewolfofelmstreet ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NeverNotCleaning well that’s awesome. ..OK cool thank you so much so, once you set up all the sensors on the doors and stuff.. and then you put your code in on the keypad before you go to bed, if those doors are opened a super loud sound will be alerted then.?

      @@NeverNotCleaning OK cool thank you so much. I was just curious on that if it was worth it or not that seems legit then 👍 do all the sensors need to be pretty close to that homebase module or is it OK if they’re maybe 20 or 30 feet are 40 feet away

    • @NeverNotCleaning
      @NeverNotCleaning  ปีที่แล้ว

      @user-cz5fw5tb7m as long as it can connect to your WiFi it’s good. I even have sensors outside on my gate (outdoor sensors) and they connected fine.
