Ceyla Nesst if your pad shows through your legging then try wearing a smaller and thinner pad. But I only suggest doing this if you'll be running around and doing things the entire day. You'll have to change it more often as well. You could always wear a long t-shirt with your leggings and see if it still shows through. Hope this helps! If you need anything else I'd be glad to help!

I have little to no appetite on my period and they say never force yourself to eat if you aren't hungry. So I can't use food to help me. So I don't eat much during that time of the month.

You should have talked about the "menstrual cup" ! Definitely not for beginners (I'm way older than B&B) but it's important that girls know that it does exist for later ! Just in a quick brief : it's a silicone/ medical material cup, like a close funnel that you use like a tampon. You can keep it inside up to TWELVE hours (depends on your flow) then take it off, wash it with water and then put it in again ! I put it in boiling water just before and after that week to get rid of bacteria, that's it ! It's way safer for your body (no chemicals like in pads/tampons) and ecological (no waste) ! When traveling, no needs for a luggage full of protections (you know what I mean 😂), just your cup and you're good ! Think about it when you're getting used to your periods and your body, it's definitely awesome ;) Google it or ask me some questions, I'm not a native speaker but I'll try my best :)
Stella Brown I was more scarred by my first tampon 😂 I put it in the morning AT HOME and change it in the evening AT HOME ! I don't have to think about it all day long. And if needed (at school for example), I use the bathroom for disabled person where there is always a sink 😉

I started in class once, I had to open my backpack and wait till no one was looking and quickly grab the pad and put it in my backpack. And ask to go to the bathroom. The rest of the time I started at school it was towards the end of the day and I could wait till I got home.

I get aching headaches and small cramps... I take medicine sometimes... I don't eat... (I don't know why, I just don't crave food and I'm starving by the end of my period) I HAVE to wear black pants the WHOLE week. (I have 6 pairs of black pants because I love black legging, jeans, or capris... Just black pants) and in the bathroom so that my pad when opening it, doesn't make any noise... I pull at the toilet paper at the same time as I open my pad, at my school, the toilet paper holder makes alot of noise so it masks the noise of my pad packaging. I hope these ideas help some of u that feel self conscious about your period and stuff that goes with it. 😊😉
Mine lasts 11 days and the worst cramps nonstop. The good news is that by the end I'm to tired to give a crap about being self conscious because my flow is way to bad the entire time too. I was cursed with this. I didn't get it until I was about 13 which was good but then I got like the worst periods possible. So, blessing and a curse?
I’ve Had my period for about 19 months now and at secondary school (ages 11-16), obviously most of the girls have their period so when I first got my period I was scared about people knowing so I’d end up spending ages trying to quietly opening pads because in my year/grade I was one of the only ones on my period so I wasn’t very open about it, but now nearly everyone has their period and everyone’s so open about it and it makes me so confident, like now I just rip open the pad no matter how loud it is and I don’t care😂

Softball 28 it doesn’t hurt at all!! Sometimes u can feel it going onto ur pad (if u are wearing that) I am not sure for a tampon as I don’t wear them. Don’t worry! The first 3 days are heavy and the other 4 get lighter by day 😊

She let me go to the nurse and the nurse DID have pads. I also told my best friend and she hugged me and said congratulations. Stella Brown I was more scarred by my first tampon 😂 I put it in the morning AT HOME and change it in the evening AT HOME ! I don't have to think about it all day long. And if needed (at school for example), I use the bathroom for disabled person where there is always a sink 😉

Two days before I got it I was just sobbing in my bed at night for basically no reason at all. I get aching headaches and small cramps... I take medicine sometimes... I don't eat... (I don't know why, I just don't crave food and I'm starving by the end of my period) I HAVE to wear black pants the WHOLE week. (I have 6 pairs of black pants because I love black legging, jeans, or capris... Just black pants) and in the bathroom so that my pad when opening it, doesn't make any noise... I pull at the toilet paper at the same time as I open my pad, at my school, the toilet paper holder makes alot of noise so it masks the noise of my pad packaging. I hope these ideas help some of u that feel self conscious about your period and stuff that goes with it. 😊😉

Mine lasts 11 days and the worst cramps nonstop. The good news is that by the end I'm to tired to give a crap about being self conscious because my flow is way to bad the entire time too. I was cursed with this. I didn't get it until I was about 13 which was good but then I got like the worst periods possible. So, blessing and a curse?
I’ve Had my period for about 19 months now and at secondary school (ages 11-16), obviously most of the girls have their period so when I first got my period I was scared about people knowing so I’d end up spending ages trying to quietly opening pads because in my year/grade I was one of the only ones on my period so I wasn’t very open about it, but now nearly everyone has their period and everyone’s so open about it and it makes me so confident, like now I just rip open the pad no matter how loud it is and I don’t care😂

lol. I had my first period at school. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be I was only crying because I was very dramatic. I told my teacher and she hugged me and said it was part of growing up. She let me go to the nurse and the nurse DID have pads. I also told my best friend and she hugged me and said congratulations. ALWAYS tell somebody close to you (or a teacher) because they will ALWAYS help. If you have a boy teacher, good luck... Just kidding. He'd understand.
