    My belt lasted 12 years. I wish you had shown what to do with the air tube on the top. this is the only video I have any pictures of my 2010 belt cover and this looks the same

  • @N8imusmaximus

    It's really awesome when when you pay the dealer $400 to change it. Then it blows in 50 miles and you take it back, then the same dealer says that is the normal life of the belt.

    • @DukesofoffroadHazzard
      @DukesofoffroadHazzard  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dang...now that dealer is savage! 50 mile belt life..Hahha we would all be poor! If this thing breaks in 50 miles...I’m gonna catch it on fire and tell him...man mice 🐭 chewed some wires...it was an electrical short 🤥 haha 🤣. No way I’m doing this again...at least not within 50miles!

  • @stacyreid5077

    Oh no way it needs to be much more fun. Lol. I've changed them on my old Rhino ( pull drivers seat and belt cover ) and on my Commander ( pull drivers seat, drop skid plate drivers side and take off belt cover ) I've learned to buy whatever the mechanics use to do the job and makes it a lot faster as in the 14mm x 90mm full threaded bolt to spread pulley apart and get the swivel sockets and the only reason I drop the skid plate is because it is a lot easier to get to the bottom bolts on belt cover
    P. S. You need to do it the Full Throttle Offroad way and use the number of beers to determine difficulty of job.

    • @DukesofoffroadHazzard
      @DukesofoffroadHazzard  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The number of beers 🍻 to determine the difficulty was hilarious...this belt change I would have vomited and 💩 my 👖!!! 🤣🤣🤣 would have been to inebriated to get er done! Hahhaah

      Dukes of off-road Hazzard hahaha. I hear ya. If I was him I'd first change to a high quality belt I run a HighLifter C-3 belt and have about 1000 miles on it and can still spin my 32" Black Mambas while I was pulling a stubborn cow into a trailer the other day. And as far as those lil plastic body plugs go to Walmart.com and get them for 100 for $8-10 and if you find a Ozark cooler that needs a screw-n-plug they have it for about $8 ( I bought a brand new 52 quart Ozark and that's all it needed) plus they also have synthetic Winch ropes for $15-20 for the ATV and SXS winches

    Wow what a pain. “If you are super mechanically inclined, don’t do it” lol too funny. Side note, the glow plug on the Ford is quick compared to dodge. Great video.

    There is some pretty important info on clutch removal that is missed on video and looks like worste part of it was working around the door cage. Blowed belt off mine yesterday so in few minutes I'm gonna tear into my 2008 teryx and even though process is same, my hardest part is getting 2 - 10mm bolts out of the fuel tank straps off. That's only dumbass kawasaki idea I'm gonna have to deal with.

    I changed a belt the other day on a buddies 08 Turdex. broke it again within 10 hours. 2nd time to change it was about half the time to execute it. Clearly the engineers were laughing around the conference room table during the "what if discussion" around belt changes. major suckage!

    How does he like the Teryx? I'm looking at buying a 2014 Teryx but I've never owned a Kawi. Curious about the reliability. Thank you.

      The newer Teryx is great, it was the older Carbureted once’s that were tough to work on. Trying to Sinc the carburetors, belt changes etc. fun as heck, tough to work on! The new fuel injected are great units! I drove the new new Teryx and had an absolute blast!!!
