    Thank you for such a brief summary. Way better than tons of long reviews of each device separately. It saved me a lot of time. You explained how dedicated buttons work (like MS Teams button). It was unclear from manufacturers sites :) and also sound test showed that unfortunately every brand sounds artificially. So I will try something like Rode Wireless Go 2.
    It would be great to hear your studio recording mic against blender as a reference.

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're welcome! The reason you will hear some artificial sound is because when there's a noise canceling microphone it's using technology to try and reduce the background noise. So, there's a sacrifice that has to be made vs a microphone like Rode from a voice quality standpoint will be a better way to go if noise in your environment isn't an issue and you're looking for the best mic sound.

    I have the Yealink portable version. I thought the voice sounded the most natural in the Yealink & I own both Poly & Logitech Bluetooth headsets. So far I have not had a customer tell me that it sounded like I was under water like they did on my 2 Bluetooth headsets .The Yealink feels cheaper but for me it’s all about signal reliability & the DECT 6.0 has shown that it doesn’t interfere with my wifi & Bluetooth music devices I play while working in a very fast paced, high dial, work from home position

    I've been using the Focus UC (the original one) for about 4 years now. It has finally kicked the bucket and started falling apart. So 4 years of daily use is pretty darn good. I will say that this thing has outstanding mic noise cancellation and folks on my meetings at work have never heard my 4 kids screaming even when they are in the same room as me. Recently my newborn was crying while I was holding him and no one heard him while I was trying to talk.
    The problem with Poly (formerly Plantronics) is they are horrible at bug fixing, at least from my experience. About 3 years ago they released a firmware update that essentially made the audible 'Mute On' voice become stuck and call out every time you mute. You can flip this off in the settings to just a tone, but the setting changes do nothing.. Despite countless complaints on forums, they have never fixed it. This is just one example so I am very tempted to give Jabra a shot.

      I had a terrible experience with my Jabra Evolve2 85. Specifically, the boom mic started to work erratically after a year of use. I made sure to update it with the latest firmware but did not resolve the issue. I did my research and found out that this is a common issue as well.

    Why is the OG Jabra Evolve mic so much better blocking out background noise?
    And what’s the best headset in your opinion to use in a Telemarketing company? (To block out noice).
    Do you know if the mic blocks out more noice on the Engage 75 or Evolve2 75 series?
    Thanks :)

    • @HeadsetAdvisor

      That's a tough question to answer as everyone seems to have a different perspective on which model cancels most background noise.
      If you're needing connectivity to mobile phone + computer or just one of these devices, then from our testing the Tilde Pro or Evolve2 75 UC would be the way to go.

    Here’s my challenge: when I use headsets (I have the fanciest one from yealink right now over both ears), I can’t hear mySELF talking. So it’s like speaking deaf. I heart the other person great in the headset but I get no sound feedback when I’m talking. Imagine covering your ears w your hands and trying to have a conversation. It makes me speak to loud to the other person because I don’t hear myself loud and clear when I respond. Do any of these headsets mitigate this so you can hear both the other person and yourself talk?

    All of these headsets have a digital effect - a narrow audio spectrum - compared to microphones used for podcasting. Is there any headset with a high-quality microphone that could be used for podcasting and when great audio is needed?
    As background, I currently use a podcasting microphone for remote court hearings because I have not found a headset with a comparable high-quality microphone.

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Aaron, most business headsets won’t give you as good of quality as a podcast type microphone because they add noise canceling technology.
      This is good because it helps reduce background noise in louder working environments, but on the flip side it sacrifices on voice quality in comparison to a podcast type microphone.
      The best sounding microphone we’ve tested so far is on the Tilde Pro. We’re also dropping a new video soon of a microphone you can attach to any headphones and sounds like it could be a good fit for you.

      The biggest challenge for noise cancellation in microphones is blocking out voices. None will be perfect and some are better than others but no matter which model you get some of the noise is going to get in depending how loud someone is talking near you.
      The best solution to this we've found is using software like neep.com or the best nosie canceling microphones we've tested so far is the Orosound Tilde Pro (new model called Orosound Evo coming out soon which will be even better), or the Epos Impact 1000 series.

It is a compromise. But it is in my eyes the best headset on the market. Provided the update really helps.

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It sounds like we didn't setup the proper context. Being that each of these headsets have noise cancelling in the microphones, you won't get as good of mic quality in comparison to a ModMic for example. Most people who work from home, in the office or on the go will usually have different needs from those who would get a ModMic. When you work at home, in the office etc.. it's crucial in many cases to have mic noise cancellation to reduce the background noise callers would otherwise hear. That comes at a cost of sacrificing some mic quality, but for business calls/meetings will be acceptable for most.
