I just wanted to thank you for your video. If I had seen the video before I started, it would have been so much easier. Would have only been about 30 minutes to fix. To get the panel off when it is closed, start from the center. Halfway up the door panel on the backside. Take the 2 screws out, pop center then go to the bottom, then you can lift the whole panel up pull it back and remove the wires.
You usually have to remove the interior piece from the part between the front door and rear door if it's a 4-door, if it's a 2 door, remove the panel behind the door, then what I did was start lifting the front door panel off the top, then down the lock side of the door, then I pulled the bottom off. The other end of the panel , well just pull on it and it'll lift right off the door. I grabbed mine & yanked, like I was gonna trash the panel, which made it easier because I yanked on the panel really hard....
South Canada I watched 3 of these hoping to hear something. I figure u still have to replace it, u still might have to take the panel off??? What did u do?
It would be cool if someone would show how to unlock it while the door is still closed. I have the door panel off now but I don't know where I need to pry on it. This is a 1998 Honda Accord....
I am having this kind of issue on a 2011 honda crv. I already took the door panel off from the inside (had hard time to do it) but now I can't unlock it, it looks like the mechanism broke inside, I can't find the the way to unlock it manually. If anybody had this problem on 2011 honda crv, I would very much appreciate if you can share it in youtube. Thank you guys. Poly. ...
