The 993 Targa is truly a beautiful car. The retractable glass roof is incredible. Last of the air-cooled generation as well.
Yes but it had significant turbulence, complexity, was heavier, and body not nearly as rigid as a coupe. I had a 98 993 Targa and I agree it was a great looking car but I’m not sure all the disadvantages make up for it
I've own several classic 911s (both targa and coupe) and have to say if I could only have one 911, it would be a targa. It's just the best iteration of such an iconic sports car in my opinion

@@johnkurtz7705 that's just my opinion. Some people complain chassis stiffness isn't as good on the targa as on the coupe, however I don't think it matters that much on a classic car that will never be driven on the limit. Wind noise can be an issue on the targas over 60mph, but then the targa roof itself is stiff/well constructed to cocoon you so you don't feel short changed compared to a coupe in the winter, plus in the summer the roof comes off and you can enjoy the full flat six symphony!

what is the origin of the name 9:11 is it spiritual?
It was supposed to be 901, however Peugeot bought all the rights for names with three numbers with a zero in the middle. As the logo numbers were already manufactured, they just turned the zero into a one.
