I may not like this whole AU thing, but i love the parallels of Zelda and Link "awakening" their powers, Zelda awakens her sacred power by trying to help Link, and Link awakens the Master sword when trying to help Zelda.
Finxx their power awakes when they are desperate to protect those who they love. As a Zelink defender, I just love breath of the wild relation between Link and Zelda

No one is talking about the genius of the design of this scene. Leading up to it, you and three others had to move to four corners of the map and defeat these shadow mimics as mini-bosses. Then, after drawing the Master Sword,, all 4 spawn in to fight you, but unlike before, you start CUTTING THROUGH THEM LIKE BUTTER. It was such an intentional choice to set them up as enemies only to have you easily defeat them. I found myself shouting 'oh HELL YEAH' as the music kicked in and linked went absolutely beserk.

1:52 is no one gonna point out how familiar this sounds? I have a suspicion this is the same, if not very close, soundtrack that plays when you get the master sword back in totk during that cut scene....
Let's put it this way. This version of Link has, by far, been the Link who has the most unique scenes in terms of acquiring the Master Sword. Each time, different. But, by far, the best one so far, the best overall version of every Link drawing the Master Sword comes in the form of, Tears of the Kingdom's scene. I don't think they will top that.
For all those wondering, if you think a Lv22 Link with base Master Sword is OP, try 100%ing the game and having a Lv100 Terrako with maxxed out stats. Makes the Master Sword an absolute joke, even to Malice bosses CAN YOU SAY "TACTICAL FUCKING TEAPOT OF DOOM?!"

Honestly, the only good part of this thing that the Master Sword recognized Link's bloodline and responded. The rest was garbage as he didn't slay the bad guy and in the end Zelda nerfs Calamity Ganon in one shot. Link is being replaced as the main hero.
One thing I not not understand is if you lose to Astor then quit the level do you lose the Master Sword after having it for the battle scene with Astor? I want to know is the the Master Sword really get unlocked into your procession once your defeat Astor. please if someone knows let me know. I lost to Astor the first, but beat him the second time so I do not know.
@@Banjoisawesome I notice when you beat a level you gain weapons and other items when the level is cleared. One final thing other then letting me know by thanking you is it would of been nice to the master sword, then die to Astor and quit the level; then do training to go back to Astor and have the fight a bit easier. I just wanted to point that out.
Why does the Master Sword seem so powerful here? Didn't it fail to help Link stop the Calamity in the canon timeline? It was damaged and dirty too. And it was so _weak_ a hundred years later as well.
It just got pulled from the pedastal. Later in this very game, you can see that by the time Link has to confront the Blights at Fort Hateno, the sword is much less super effective.
