I mean you're standing on top of a draconified Zelda who's been carrying the sword stucked onto her forehead for more than 10.000+ years so it's no wonder why it's such an emotionally drenching scene.
Favorites are probably Skyward Sword and TotK! I love the progress of the goddess sword how it becomes the master sword, and getting it in TotK is definitely one of the coolest!!
I just realized. I thought it was kinda weird how when the Master Sword was restored, its blade looked newer at the part where it broke and was patchy but I think I get it now. They wanted to make the sword look like it got a brand new, regenerated blade, so any remaining metal on the sword's blade that never broke off WOULD look a little more dull. Its kinda like when the scab on your arm or leg finally falls off and leaves a faded spot on your arm to remember where the wound was, but the rest of your skin that was unharmed looks completely fine. I love how they made the sword actually LOOK like it had a small amount of age to it, but with the brand new blade, you actually have a clean, pure, new, unstained sword
I can actually see why in BoTW your health drains when attempting the pull... The Master Sword is using Link's life force to complete the restoration. I've come to the conclusion that Link gaining the Triforce of Courage has given him sacred power. The weapon he chooses is merely a conduit for this power. Even so, with the Master Sword and its holy power combined with that of Link, gives him the ability to destroy evil. It's also why the Master Sword is usually the weapon that allows access to Sword Beams in the top-down games.
i will say pulling the master sword in totk definitely felt the most epic, but there is somberness to it that the other games don't have quite as much. like in most of the other games it feels like a huge accomplishment, a big heroic moment and a symbol that link has taken another step in getting stronger for his journey. in totk, you get that feeling kind of, but more prominently is the feeling of loss. this power cost link one of the most important people -- likely _the most_ important -- in the world to him. and when he pulls the sword there is no swinging or flourishing it, just quiet contemplation before sheathing it. it is just lovely. i really enjoy these videos where you get to see all the scenes back to back and catch different things like this!
I like the pull from BoTW better. Still somber, but with more urgency. Plus the Master Sword having a trial to pull it that if failed results in DEATH is a really good spin on the one sword that I think inspired the Master Sword: Excalibur. And side note: remember Caliburn in Sonic and the Black Knight? I did a bit of research on that name... "Caliburn" is actually another name for Excalibur.
@@ThePikachunianRebel i think botw overall is a more somber game -- there is a sense of loneliness, which i think is the point. it holds a special place in my heart for that reason!
@@lilscooter93 Just like Dragon Quest V for me... I consider it the BoTW of the DS. I'm attempting something I call the Master of Zenithia challenge. 100%, no game over. To give a glimpse at how hard it is, here's part of the challenge: All recruitable characters. The whole Big Book of Monsters filled. Every cursed equip. All knick-knacks complete. Every character at maximum level. Obtaining every Key. And the cherry on top? Taking down the superboss Estark in 15 turns or less.... all while under the threat of getting wiped out with Kamikazee. And yes, I have to recruit a Rockbomb. At least I just got my King Slime... But MAN, is it hard to level up.
Plus, my main character in DQV just had his first death (using Kerplunk does NOT count). And yet he was the only one to survive the fight for the Circle of Fire. Pretty symbolic that the Circle of Fire became his wedding ring.
Wind Waker is my favorite sword pull. I mean, these gigantic knight statues are actually tipping their swords at your accomplishment, how empowering is that? Plus, the sage concerts are a delight too
Wish we had seen a flashback showing all 7 Sages playing a concert as Daphnes conducts them when after removing the Master Sword as a foreshadowing of what Link would need to do to fully empower it. Hopefully in a future remake we'll get to witness such a scene.
I absolutely loved Wind Waker's concept. So few games have music as a central mechanic. And the concert with Medli has almost a Zelda's Lullaby feel. No wonder Medli passed out. And that one with Makar? He's a fiddler. So. Freaking. Awesome. Brings Saria's Song back in style.
Hopefully some intrepid TH-camr has made a video showing Toon Link conducting concerts with the seven sages of OoT. And the music? The temple return songs. Impa is my favorite of the Sages. No wonder she's in Hyrule Warriors.

Nintendo missed a chance for an epic callback to the original Master Sword from A Link to the Past.
we TECHNICALLY have a golden master sword in totk, it's the shiny master sword model that's used in the cutscene where you first pull it out of zelda's skull.
What if we get a Master Sword that can be combined with items like the Phantom Hourglass and the Wind Waker? Sadly, NoA probably will never give us that pleasure.
I love how story-wise the Master Sword is the ultimate weapon, but in actual gameplay, certain ones like the Biggoron's Sword, Silver Arrows and Light Arrows all outclass the Blade of Evil's Bane. Lol
Actually in lore the Master Sword isn't treated as the most powerful weapon, but rather is a varied range of abilities that help it defeat evil wherever it appears. The only weapon in lore that really equals it are the silver arrows (which I think would have been better in the finale of BotW rather than the light arrows).
The scene from Twilight Princess has always been my ultimate favourite. There is just something about the way the fog gets repelled when Link raises the sword. The way midna reacts. That music that just sounds so triumphant and intimidating. The whole scene sort of radiates this energy of "you just witnessed the power of the great godess, and she has accepted you as her chosen one". The fog rolling back and the sun coming out is like saying "this relic is so holy and important that even the very dirt makes way for it" I feel like the only real-world equivalent would be if someone found the holy grail or the arc of the covenant. That's the level the master sword is at. A holy relic. Proof of the godess and the prophecy's existence. Physical proof of Hyrule's religion. I'm not even a religious or spiritual person, but I think I can understand what being religious must feel like through how I experience Zelda.
I always thought it was weird that the Pedestal of Time sealed Link away for 7 years just cause he was a kid. Link wielded the Master Sword as a child several times.
It wasn't the Pedestal. It was (more than likely, even though it wasn't explicitly stated) Ruaru. Link wasn't exactly ready to become the Hero of Time, likely because the weight of the Master Sword among other items would be too much for him, and he wasn't emotionally mature. Sure, he saw the Great Deku Tree die, but Child Link (at least in my opinion) may not have been ready to deal with Ganondorf's evil yet.
@@ThePikachunianRebel The reasons you stated for Link being sealed away seems even more senseless when considering that making mistakes and learning from them is an essential part of maturing and growing as a person. Link is also equipped with the Goron Bracelet, enabling him to effortlessly lift and transport heavy objects throughout his adventures. Finally, it's important to consider that even if you believe Link isn't fully prepared to confront Ganondorf, it's worth noting that a true hero is seldom entirely ready to confront their destiny. It's the act of facing it head-on, despite the fear and uncertainty, that truly defines a hero. Being aware of the potential consequences, yet choosing to act regardless, is what would make Link worthy of wielding the Blade of Evil’s Bane.
@@CesarACastillo you actually make a lot more sense than I do on this. I'm currently doing a run through of Sword of Mana, and with what Hero/Heroine go through as kids ties in. It’s because the sword is rigged. In order to be the hero of time you have to be able to use the sword to travel through time, the trick is though it can’t move link’s body only his spirit. The hero of time was always destined to be too young so that when they pull it they be sealed for 7 years, their spirit sealed in the sword so they don’t experience time passing. This creates a future body and a past body that his soul can move between and that’s how he travels time. If he were old enough from the get go there be no time travel, it be like any other game he just gets the sword immediately. There is 4D destiny chess going on here though, the hero of time has to be able to travel time to save hyrule so it’s rigged so he gets the sword too early.

46:04 How did the Master Sword glow like that? As far as I can tell, it just starts to shine and make the counterfeit versions of the Champions disappear completely without a trace.
You're joking, right? How did the Master Sword glow and obliterate Malice, a byproduct of Ganon? Is that the question you're seriously asking here? You may as well ignore the loser wizard man because he's not relevant to the equation, regardless of his summoning them. Those false Champions are very very clearly Malice, and the Master Sword's whole THING is being the Blade of Evil's Bane.

Plus, look up Locke's Theme from FF 6. Simple song but EXCELLENTLY placed within the story. Having it play during the fight to save Terra in the Narshe mines between battles hit home.
0:05 And here was the first time the master sword was seen
Tears of the Kingdoms master sword pull is the best. And it’s the best portrayed when done in the final battle.
Always loved Ocarina of Time but Twilight Princess 😮💨🤌🏻
Both are top tier 🙏
Okay I see that we're counting minish cap on the list
Fi still is in there 😅
Legendary Link pull out the Master sword
YOU GOT A LIGHTSABER!
46:04 How did the Master Sword glow like that? As far as I can tell, it just starts to shine and make the counterfeit versions of the Champions disappear completely without a trace.
Plot!
@@davidwhidden9337 What do you mean?
@@xavierkittreles1998 The plot demanded that the sword glow like that.
Hence the answer of "Plot!"
I seriously have no idea what you just said, but okay.
I like how all the other Links Take it out slowly like they know there the hero, and Hyrule warriors Link takes it out with brute force
Apenas noto que en TotK en lugar de sacar la espada maestra de la frente del dragón blanco, en realidad te la esta entregando y de fondo se escucha un fragmento de la nana de zelda.
Let me ask you this have you ever played Phantom Hourglass cause you haven't put any clips of it in your evolutions?
same with spirit tracks
@@impala67164 No he played that I seen clips of him playing it
I have several evolutions with PH and ST but I can only include them it fits the video topic.
@@BeardBear Ok then
They both dont have master sword
I still tryna figure out how to turn kid again after you pull the master sword still working on beating the game
You have to beat the forest temple and then you can put the sword back in it’s pedestal
Link looks like he's going to dislocate his arm in took when holding on to the master sword😭
My favorite is ALTTP probably cuz it was my first zelda game so bias.
1 other minor cutscene that includes the Master Sword pull...Smash Bros Brawl 🗡
Correction: TOTK was made in 2023, not 2024
It says 2023
Skyward sword is definitely my fave watching the godess sword slowly develop into the legendary blade all the future Links would utilize was awesome if only they made Fii less annoying.
Twilight princess was always the best especially for me❤
I seriously like Link in his Green Tunic better. I’m disappointed that he wasn’t wearing it in the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Do you all like Link in his Green Tunic too?
Green/Kokiri was classic, but his green with a gold trim on the hood from A Link to the Past was better.
The question is how did the master sword ended up in the world of the oracles did zelda send it to that world like she knew she would get capture
From pulling the sword out of the stone to pulling it out of your girlfriend’s skull.
Skyward sword is definitely the best imo
Well I already pull out of the master sword in Ocarina of Time
TOTK would be my second favorite if not for the stupid little jingle at the end of the master sword theme
Age of calamity did it better than breath of the wild
Totk was the hardest for me to get
Thumbnail threw me off lol. Went from 2001 to 1998 and then forward again
Do any of you like the Sword Pull from Twilight Princess?
Dayum
For me is ocarina of time, twilight princess, breath of the wild or tears of kingdom.
6:03 how do you get the master sword in ooa?
Honestly, the fact that you can still see where the old blade ends and the restored portion of the blade begins in totk is a little irritating to me.
What are the four red thing in Hyrule warriors age of calamity astor attacks link and zelda while they in the forest?
play botw
What Zelda games has the master sword next?
bro did you forget totk came out in 2023
Man i don't really like the english voice for the deku tree in botw, he sounds less old compared to the voice i first heard of him ("español latino" to be precise). Btw by what he said we could say that cannonically link had 13 or more hearts before the 100 year nap
Deku Tree: What is it you plan to do next princess
Zelda: I-
Add: T MOBILE 5G NETWORK IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD
12:54 11:19
Is that dragon Zelda?
It is
If I can ask!
In a link to the past, can all bosses after getting the master sword can be defeated without upgrading the master sword itself?
Or does it have to be upgraded for better safe then sorry?
You only need the base Master Sword, but upgrading it to the Tempered Sword and the Golden Sword is going to make the later parts of your adventure a lot easier
@@azazelreedsoh so the master sword itself is weak?
@@MarkFendy-sw7hn Nah, it's all the same sword. You're just getting it worked on and blessed respectively
@@azazelreeds okay then, soon as my sister and I are able to get Zelda alttp snes authentic we will be upgrading the master sword to be strong safe!
Twilight princess 👍🏽😎😊
43:46 Is Fi really inside the Master Sword itself?
Yes
@@kursedmilk I had no idea that Fi is the Master Sword itself.
@@xavierkittreles1998 she's the conscious part of the master sword but she was only truly active during skyward sword after that she goes into a eternal slumber within the sword.
@@kursedmilk You tell me now?
What about the master sword in the 1st NES game? 🤔
that is the magical sword, not the master sword
Wheres the original?
where is the legend of zelda majora's mask & the legend of zelda majora's mask 3D😔🥀⚰️
The master sword isnt in majoras mask? Have you even played the game?
@@mysonisthedrink I've never played these games, but with the help of videos on them I became a fan of them, but that was 6 years ago and I don't remember anything
